I find that Pinky and the Brain, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life and a lot of other cartoons have hidden messages directed towards older viewers. I distinctly remember a episode of Pinky and the Brain in which Brain referred to "Going to a place where women where lots of make-up" or something to that effect and Pinky said "Where? Charile Sheen's house?". I also have noticed at the end of Tiny Toons if you watch the credits there is always a hidden message. What have you noticed? Guest raptor Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Well, there is the entire sub-culture undercurrent in Scooby Doo. Homosexuality, Drug Use, and Casual Sex were supposedly covered. Especially nowadays, when a lot of parents grew up on cartoons, they want to be entertained when they take their kids to see cartoons. So cartoons have gotten "Smarter", think of things like Shrek... lots of pop culture references and spoofs of things that most kids haven't seen or heard of. And let's not even get into the infamous nude frames placed in cartoons. Just think about drawing almost the same thing for 8 - 12 hours a day... you need to amuse yourself somehow! I remember in one episode they had a visual of Queen Elizabeth hitting Prince Charles over the head with a mallet and Yakko turned the camera and said "Ask your parents!" Funny stuff. But yea, there has to be "inside stuff" so that adults have a reason to watch other than with their kids. I think it's pretty cool most of the time. Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 9, 2002 I was a college program intern at Disney World... a tour guide at the Animaiton Studio tour at Didney MGM Studios... it was a blast... and I got to meet and hang out with the artists sometimes... but here's a hint... the guy who draws for you when you take the tour isn't really an animator. Yakko, Wakko and Dot were trying to solve this mystery on a ship and Yakko told dot she needed to get "finger prints" Then the artist formally known as Prince pops down from the ceiling out of no where and starts smiling at Dot...she looks at the camera and says, "Not going there"...get it.
