Micheal Jackson vs. Sony

Recommended Posts

Guest ant_7000

I just heard about it this morning and it seems that Micheal Jackson accused Sony Records Head Guy Tommy Mottola of being racist, and said that his 9/11 album or song didn't come out because he felt that Tommy was racist towards him. Jacko also believes that the music industry are screwing black artists out their money by putting their names on songs that were written by the artists eventhough they (execs) didn't help write the song but are collecting royalties. Well, I always thought Jacko was ashamed to be black but he prove me wrong hahahaha, but thats no suprise me hearing about the music industry screwing over people Black, Latino, and White artists so aint that shocking thou.

I'm not surprised at all over the accusation of racism in the music industry, but Jackson throwing himself in there as a victim of discrimination being why his Invincible album did poorly is bullshit. Michael Jackson's stock in North America has fallen considerably over the years, and no amount of promotion on Sony's part is going to change that. He's just not as popular as he once was--he never recovered from the child molestation charges, regardless of not being proven guilty--and he needs to accept that.

I would have thought that his new album would have done smoewhat well. There were a couple of good songs on there and they had the big Michael Jackson special on CBS. I wasn't the only person who was marking out during that shit.

Poor Michael just can't seem to accept that *gasp* People don't care anymore! His album sales didn't fall through the floor because of a conspiracy or whatever, people just aren't interested. God BLESS Mottola too, if he stopped a 9/11 song from being released. I've heard enough of those and certainly don't need someone who resembles Marilyn Manson at this point cashing in on it all. Bleh.
