Guest What? Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Adio-One Step Beyond I'm a big fan of the Adio team, especially Bam Margera, which is why I got this DVD. The DVD has some good extras, like an am section and "commentary" on some of the parts in the video. However, Bam's part (which is what I skipped to first) is mainly just his dumb pranks, which get old after awhile...well, not really...anyway...Kenny Anderson, Brian Sumner an Kris Markovich's parts were realy good, but everyone else I haven't really seen much coverage on, so I didn't really enjoy their parts. Meh... eS-Menikmati So far, I only have shoe team videos...weird, isn't it? Ah well...the Flip video is coming today, so hopefully I'll have a review of it for you. Yeah. Anyway, the eS team is made up of Arto Saari (who is in the Flip video, too), Ronnie Creager (Blind, but no longer on eS), Rodrigo TX (The Firm), Tom Penny (who is the reason why the Flip video was delayed for a long long time...bastard), Rick McCrank (Girl), Bob Burnquist (The Firm), and Eric Koston (Girl). Basically, if you're a skater just looking at the team, you KNOW it's going to be good...which it wasn't. It was great. OHHH!! SWERVE!~ Arto, TX and Penny's parts were my favorites, simply because Arto is king, TX is an asshole to the French and Penny is...well....Penny. Good buy. Sorry for wasting your time again...but hey...allow me this.

Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Wow. Way to neglect Danny Montoyas part, which was bar none the best part in the freakin video. Oh, and Penny wasn't the reason the Flip video was delayed. Penny doesn't do really do anything so his part was filmed quick, and it's really short too. The reason is that Geoff Rowley and Fred Montagne (the filmer) are perfectionists and Rowley took forever with his part. So when you say you're a fan of Bam Margera are you one of the 3 million people who are fans of Bam Magera the guy from Jackass? Sounds like ya're.
Guest What? Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Hey, I said the parts that I liked, and sorry if it didn't include Montoya. I just didn't really enjoy it. I actually have liked Bam ever since I saw the first CKY, which was awhile ago and I liked him for his skating ability, not his incredibly painful stunts. Although it's funny to watch, it's like Jim Carrey comedy: Good in small doses. Jackass only ruined Bam. And the Flip video WAS delayed because of Rowley and Montagne, I will admit to that, but also because of Penny running off to France and not telling anybody about it. At the time, the Flip team had all their footage and had all their shit together, but they still needed stuff from Penny that wasn't already used (Menikmati, 411 VM, etc.) and since they couldn't find him, that delayed the video from it's original release date. Although I'm glad it did, and I'm glad Rowley's a perfectionist, because I doubt that it would have been as good as it is now. Or I could just be completely wrong. Whatever. Curry, have you seen the Flip video yet?
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Yeah dude, gnarly shit goin' on up in there. They show Arto passed out in his own vomit, a result of having a seizure after landing on his head from the top of a 18 stair rail. The skating rules it. Appleyard and Arto seem to be neck and neck for best part of the last 4 years.
Guest What? Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Hell yes! That scene with Arto lying there made me want to quit skating in fear that I might get that hurt, but seeing that he's now ok...that's good. Also, Appleyards, Rowley's, Boulala's and Arto's parts were my favs. Greatest team ever assembled...besides the X-Men, but that's neither here nor there. Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I dunno about greatest team ever assembled. Plan B and Girl are amazing too. Flip is probably the best team going right now, especially since they have PJ Fuckin Ladd on their team now (first American ever to be on Flip.) God Appleyard rules it, he makes me proud to be a Canadian skater.
