Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 22, 2002 From No Mercy, where the opponent is lying face-down on the mat, you grab them by their waist, haul them around, then dump them on their neck. Former Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling god Alexander Krelin used to drop his opponents on their heads all the time with that move. Basically, a gutwrench to neckdrop. That should describe it. Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted July 23, 2002 That a fucking cop out counter ... MOVE: Top Rope Hurricanrana Counter: Styles Clash (Front Face Pancake)
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 23, 2002 To be fair, he did say an Inverted Hurrancanrana. In such case, I think the only real counter would be to hold on to the top rope with all your might, so that the other guy would fall down empty-handed, as it were. And as a neat point, when Karelin used the Russian Neck Drop, his opponents only had one real counter: They'd jump, and roll with the move. Karelin still got the points for the throw, but they could avoid landing on their heads if they controlled their movement. And since no one gave a new move... I'll say the Walls of Jericho... ON THE LADDER. Ala Benoit/Jericho.

Oh, and there is NO SUCH MOVE AS A TIGER BOMB. It's a TIGER DRIVAHHHH! Thank you...proceed.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 23, 2002 Hey, as long as we're being picky... You can't counter a Burning Hammer with a crucifix...You're in an inverted fireman's carry, and it's pretty well impossible. Your best bet is to kick off the ropes, and flip over, landing on your feet. You also can't schoolboy out of a Triangle choke. Generally, the move is done laying ON the ground. You can't stand up and do the move (At least, not without making things overly complicated). Thus, you really can't roll the guy up. Your best counter to that is to get on your feet, try to lock your hands together, then lift the guy off the mat as high as possible, and drop him. Of course, I just realized that Tim was probably talking about the Russian Neck Drop and somehow got his post delayed by a number of hours, but hey. And you could (probably) counter the Indian Deathlock/Chicken wing by rocking your body side to side until you managed to roll over. At such point, you best bet is to sit on the guy's back, and go from there. But I've never SEEN the move, so I'm assuming that works. New move: Rings of Saturn.
