Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Hey, for the past month or so in my Hotmail account I've been getting all these weird e-mails that are totally blank (and I mean TOTALLY, no attachments or anything) but take up like 100+k, which clogs up my Hotmail account bad. Does anybody else get these or know what they are? Are they some kind of virus or something? Is there anyway to find out who is sending them to me (they come from a different spoofed address every time so blocking them does no good) and/or stop them? Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 9, 2002 it is most likely the klez virus which doesn't need to be in an attachment to be sent and will often infect a computer just by having the infected email opened. i'm not sure if it would infect your system since you were logged into hotmail at the time but i would update your anti-virus and do a system scan. I'd suggest trying a klez virus remover, like dreamer suggested. Although in my case I didn't have it, if you're getting a lot of them it's worth a shot to make sure you don't accidentally pain any more people with it.
