WrestleMania Booking

Given that Angle beat HHH last night, what are the chances that they have Angle go to WrestleMania and fight Jericho for the World Title, but have the show centered around a 6 man tag between the nWo and Austin/Rock/HHH?

Although, I can't imagine a WrestleMania main event that doesn't involve one of the "Big 3."

Any thoughts?

I think the WWF will find some way to get HHH back in the WWF Title match. They should go with the 6-man, but you never know. Hell, the WWF probably doesn't even know either.

Okay, I will say why I have a problem with putting Trips back into the undisputed title match. The wwf would have just made Royal Rumble AND the match stipulation last night have no damn importance whatsoever. Is it a coincidence that the year they did this same kind of swerving crap the wwf started to go downhill(the year 200 leading into Mania)?

Stuff like this just make people not take matches at face value. People paid 30 bucks last month with the idea that they were paying to see the #1 contender for Mania. Then this month they have another match to decide the Mania #1 contender when there is no controversy over the Rumble victory. This is just plain old wcw false advertising.

Some net people wonder why ratings never jumped with the announcement of the NWO. Well, here is one answer. They know the wwf is infamous for false advertising. I think maybe that's why the NWO actually showed up on HEAT. They know that a lot of people might think the advertising of the NWO's return would be a lie.

If they need to swerve on stipulations like this for drama there's something wrong. Last year it was simply Austin going to Mania to face either Rock or Angle. It became Rock/Austin and was simple since fans bought into that match as a main event of Mania. Obviously when the wwf do these swerves the main event isn't strong enough to draw on its own.

Besides the title match won't be the real attraction. It will be the NWO entity against the WWF entity. I think the wwf is actually doing some things that wcw didn't do. They are making other storylines count by not making everything geared towards the NWO. That was a complaint the net was ripping wcw for back in the day. WCW was ripped for not elevating the younger talent. There shouldn't be unity in the wwf simply because three guys enter with the plot to destroy it.

Anyways, the draw is Hogan/Rock and Austin/Hall. Having Angle/Jericho in the world title match actually helps them down the line when it can be said they were the "main event" with the undisputed championship on the line. Pit Trips vs. Jericho and we are back in 2000 where Trips regains the title(this is the likely scenario though). BTW, Trips character fitting the title had more ooooommph in 2000 because he had power with his "family" owning the company. His best work is working in a self serving group of degenerates/thugs or being in the establishment(his original character blue blood character). This current face I don't know how well will work. People who attended last night shows actually say that Hogan got the biggest face pop followed by Rock and then Austin. Where's Trips?

I was thinking...the WWF will probably have Flair say HHH was "screwed out of his WWF Title shot", so there will be a Triple Threat match at WM with Jericho vs. Angle vs. HHH.

Angle Vs. Jericho

Rock Vs. Hogan

Austin & HHH Vs. Outsiders.

Thats what they should do.

Please no triple threat match at wm.

Anyway if HHH isn't going to be in the main event, I they should do the six man tag, with possibly HHH turning and joining the nWo.  HHH is a much better heel, than babyface.

Pull a WM x and have Jericho vs Angle at the beginning and then the winner vs HHH as the Main Event.

That would ne interesting...

It would be interesting, but probably the other way around. With HHH/Angle going first. HHH wins and goes on to face Jericho. If that did that. They should say the winner of the HHH/Angle match faces Jericho in a Cage to make sure nobody gets involved. When HHH wins...they could have Jericho & Steph attacking HHH in the Cage setting up a rematch at Backlash. It would Jericho in a high profile feud without getting lost with the nWo's arrival.

Personally, I think that the WWF should do the right thing: Jericho vs. Angle, last match at Wrestlemania.  The stipulation was for the right to be in the Main Event at WM, ie the last match.  Putting the WWF/NWO matches after the world title match would cheapen the value of the belt.  I just think they're letting Jericho hold the belt until Benoit is healthy.  A Benoit vs. Jericho title match would be money!

Benoitfan that would be the right thing to do in terms of getting fans to trust actual stipulations on matches on ppv. However, go tell Hogan, Nash, Trips, Rock, and Austin that Jericho and Angle should close out the biggest show of the year. It won't happen with the egos. Hell, it's amazing Jericho is even defending the title at WrestleMania with these egomaniacs. Well, maybe Rock is the exception since he's main event job boy.

I think the WWF needs to do something big with the nWo at WM. If they let Jericho/Angle (If that's even the match) go last, then some big angle should happen.

"Putting the WWF/NWO matches after the world title match would cheapen the value of the belt. "

I guess you don't remember WM8. Sid-hogan was the main for chrissakes when Savage-Flair defended the belt midway.

"Hell, it's amazing Jericho is even defending the title at WrestleMania with these egomaniacs. "

He might not even make it to Mania with the titles.

I'm surprised they are actually going through with his title reign.

I think the undisputed title match can be big if the split does happen. Suppose the belt splits at WrestleMania somehow. Anyways, I'm really thinking that Triple H losing last night and then at WM 18 would be a great storyline to make him go to the NWO to get his way and blame the fans for turning him soft.

I think Jericho will make it to WM with the titles. Who would he lose it to before WM?
