Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 9, 2002 Report Posted July 9, 2002 copied from http://www.startribune.com/stories/587/3048028.html Ventura hospitalized with blood clot in lung Mark Brunswick Published Jul 10, 2002 Gov. Jesse Ventura was admitted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale today for treatment of discomfort related to a blood clot in his lung. Robert Colbert, Ventura's pulmonary physician at North Memorial, said the governor is in stable condition, in good spirits and undergoing treatment with blood thinners. Ventura spokesman John Wodele said at a news conference at the State Capitol that the governor, 50, awoke today with discomfort, went to his primary care physician and was sent to North Memorial. The governor had a pulmonary embolism that contributed to the end of his wrestling career, as described in his autobiography "I Ain't Got Time to Bleed." He remains in charge of state government. Lt. Gov. Mae Schunk, who was in California at an education conference, has been informed and will return to Minnesota. Wodele said the governor has no other major health problems that he's aware of and has been in good spirits the past couple of days. He also said Ventura hasn't experienced similar problems previously while governor. -------------------- and from one report I have heard, Jesse is in fair condition. Oh boy... I really hope this doesn't get any worse for him.
