Guest Redhawk Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 It hasn't happened yet, but you know it will soon. Because for some reason, WWE thinks entrance themes get old very quickly and feel as if they need a new version every few months. Since the Attitude era began, no one has gone very long with the same music, with Kane and Big Show's songs probably having the longest tenure. So when they do change Angle's music, instead of using some lame rock remix...why not give him the "American Gladiators" music? I was watching a rerun of that show earlier today, and the music would be perfect for Angle.
Guest Cavi Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I remember they used this rap-ish remix of his theme a while ago for like one show. It was really quite bad.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Ummm if it is being changed why did you title the thread- Kurt Angle's music being changed?
Guest Redhawk Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Ummm if it is being changed why did you title the thread- Kurt Angle's music being changed? Because you know it will be changed before the year is out, so I was offering a suggestion.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Why not leave it as is, before we end up wit that shit they offered last December?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 His music right now is perfect for him. Why would anyone want to change it?
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 "Medal" fits him perfect. Keep it that way.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I was under the impression that the title of this thread was fact instead of speculation.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 there's not much basis for this thread. as cavi said, they tried a variation already and it was crap. if anyone needs new music, its brock. so generic for what hes being pushed as. i never recognize it.
Guest TheDames7 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Actually, I think Vince's music is the longest running theme. Dames
Guest claydude14 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 vince's is from rumble 99. kane had the same tune since debut, although its been modified slightly so you may rule it out. austin's certainly had a long run, although it changed from time to time, with the disturbed version for a while, and a completly different one the day after inVasion i don't think they used again. but technically, the nWo music would have to be the longest running theme, although again it too has been through variations
Guest Anglesault Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 D-Lo Brown's theme has been the same forever, if that counts.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 D-Lo Brown's theme has been the same forever, if that counts. ] actually not, in wrestlemania 2000 the lyrics are slightly different for d'lo, so i'm guessing that's what his theme was like at the time
Guest thebigjig Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 if they turn angle face anytime soon, they HAVE to change the music. People enjoy chanting "You suck" along with the rhythm too much
Guest Anglesault Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 They could also chant "An-GLE!" like they did at KotR 01
Guest thebigjig Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 They could also chant "An-GLE!" like they did at KotR 01 Yeah but that didn't really catch on, if my memory is correct...
Guest Incandenza Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 It's been awhile since I've watched the match, but didn't only start chanting "An-GLE!" after the match? They couldn't help but give him his props after that bloodbath.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Didn't Austin have the longest lasting tune? Started up in what, 97? Retired briefly in 2001 to come back again. Anyhow, Kurt's theme is older than dirt. I wouldn't mind them changing it but it's possible they might screw up and the magic of the "You Suck" singalong is ruined.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 D-Lo Brown's theme has been the same forever, if that counts. ] actually not, in wrestlemania 2000 the lyrics are slightly different for d'lo, so i'm guessing that's what his theme was like at the time Yeah. The one in Wrestlemania 2000 was the theme he used while paired with Mark Henry. After Henry turned on him (in favor of helping Jeff Jarrett), D'lo switched his theme to the one found on Volume 4, which is the one he still uses (Danger At The Door).
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 maybe they are gonna lean towards turning kurt face so people wont chant you suck at him
Guest ShamRock Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 If Kurt turns face, they should chant "You Rule",because he does.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 maybe they are gonna lean towards turning kurt face so people wont chant you suck at him But then there will be no strong heel heat. The crowds are not exactly coming alive for the Undertaker.
Guest BookerTman Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 This theme has been around since '97, Kurt stole it from the Patriot. I still think of the Patriot *everytime* Angle comes out. That's not a bad thing, it's a good thing.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The Patriot stole it from Mark henry.
Guest BookerTman Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Wow, I did not know that. If that's true, then it's quite likely the only good thing that has come from Mark Henry being around.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 And Mark Henry stole a contract from a talented worker, probably. If Angle gets new music, I'll clone myself and then run over my clone. Or will my clone run over me? Will a hummer be involved? Which clone is the fath- Oh, forget it.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 angle should be put into a feud with henry of the music. henry goes over. now, now before we go making wild aqusations about jobbing angle to henry.... you suck fits henry much better.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Uh, guys. You all wrong. The longest lasting theme is Shawn Michaels' "Sexy Boy" which has been around since 1993.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The one he currently uses is different from the one in 1993. The original HBK theme had a woman singing the lyrics. Once he turned face they modified it so he sings.
