Guest papacita Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The Patriot stole it from Mark henry. No he didn't. A variation of the theme was used for the first time when Patriot beat Bret Hart in 97, and was then modified to Kurt's current theme about a week later. Mark Henry's Olympic theme song was completely different.
Guest thebigjig Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The one he currently uses is different from the one in 1993. The original HBK theme had a woman singing the lyrics. Once he turned face they modified it so he sings. ugh... you had to remind me of Shari didn't you?

Once he turned face they modified it so he sings. The woman was Sensational Sherri and just for the record, he sang the lyrics after they parted ways, but HBK was still a heel. Who else sings their own theme because I think that HBK's got everyone beat with that one. Dames
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Thnx for the info Dames. Does the Rock count as singing his own theme?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The Mounties sang their own theme. Also, Dok Hendrix sang Bad Street USA for the Freebirds, which smokes "Sexy Boy" 8 days a week.
Guest TheDames7 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Ahh, how could I forget the Mounties! I don't know if the Freebirds theme counted though, cuz the song never played in the WWF except for in the Gimmick Battle Royal. Dames
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I thought you meant themes in general, not WWF/E specific.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I thought they were the Quebecers because, you know, according to the song, they were NOT the Mounties!
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 The one he currently uses is different from the one in 1993. The original HBK theme had a woman singing the lyrics. Once he turned face they modified it so he sings. That was Senstional Sherri, his first manager.
Guest genius1591 Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 What about Booker's theme, it been around forever.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I remember reading once that Vince McMahon even sang on the "Sexy Boy" Entrance song. I remember Sherri singing on it too. The longest, I think Bret Hart? He had the same music in the Hart Foundation up until his last days. It might have been remixed once, though?
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I remember reading once that Vince McMahon even sang on the "Sexy Boy" Entrance song. Hahahahahahahaaha!!
Guest Redhawk Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 I don't think they should change it, but the way Vince (or whoever makes the music decisions) operates, it will be changed sometime soon. KAne has pretty much had the same theme since 1997, but they've tweaked it here and there. And HBK's has been the same for a while, but remember he wasn't regularly on TV from early 1998 (when he was using DX's music anyway) until now. Same with the nWo, which is probably why their music hasn't changed.
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 Mark Henry sang his own theme, y'know. "It's sexual baby..."
Guest Harry Hood Posted July 10, 2002 Report Posted July 10, 2002 How bout Men on a Mission, Oscar rapped it, does that count? Or Roaddog and Billy Gunn's stuff?
Guest Army Eye Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 Didn't Austin have the longest lasting tune? Started up in what, 97? Retired briefly in 2001 to come back again. I don't know about briefly! He used a totally different tune for many months when he was in the Alliance. And I think the Disturbed theme is more than different enough than the original theme that he currently uses to break that streak anyway.
Guest Imarkout4chrisdaniels Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 On the subject of wrestlers singing their own themes, D'Lo does his own.
