Question: Was Benoit ever in WWF?

Where in the hell is this picture from...

 

 

...does anyone have a clue? Is this from WCW, and if so, when were these two together? Sorry if this seems odd, but I was shown this earlier tonight, and am just currious just where in the hll it's from, lol. Thanks guys!

I think that Benoit was at a few tapings for the WWF, but didn't sign a contract or anything.

The pic didn't show on my comp, but I would assume it's Benoit and Ted DiBiase?

 

Benoit did several dark matches in mid 95 (the height of his ECW popularity), and did at least one with Ted in his corner as a member of the Corporation. One match was against Adam Bomb, and that is the match I believe DiBiase came out with him for. Benoit was rumored to be headed to the WWF, but made his WCW debut later that year as the newest member of the Four Horsemen.

 

So, technically, he was in WWF before January 2000.

link was down when i tried. did you know benoit actually held the wwf light heavyweight before the radicals ever entered the wwf. he won it back on March 3, 1991 as the Pegasus Kid from Villiano III in mexico. the wwf wasn't using the title at the time but that is still a cool fact i think.

I know I'm late, but back when I was a little mark, and I read the House Show reports in the PWI mags, I remember seeing Benoit's name up against Owen Hart and saying "Holy crap, I thought he was in ECW!" and then reading some ring reports that said "You silly fool, it's just a tryout!" and then I said "Oh!"

 

Public Enemy did something similar against the Smokin Gunns @ the 95 Survivor Series...but nobody gives a damn about them anymore so screw them .
