Wrestle Palooza 97 & Cyberslam 99

Does anybody know if the new ECW releases coming in September are any good. I know Wrestlepalooza 97 is when Dreamer pins Raven for the first time.

wrestlepalooza 97 is great. dreamer pins raven, there are two dudley's matches, and the eliminators are wrestling.

 

cyberslam 99 is not another bad choice as it features some decent cruiserweight action. the main event is crappy but with the people involved that is to be expected.

What are the cruiserweight matches in Cyberslam 99?

the ones i liked were:

 

jerry lynn vs. tajiri

super crazy vs. mosco de la merced

taka michinoku vs. papi chulo

 

and rvd vs. scorpio is good two but they aren't exactly cruiserweights.

Isn't Cyberslam 99 the show where Douglas fought Justin Credible? I just found that tape buried somewhere in my room, and was actually entertained by that match...and the Cruiser matches that you mentioned. I've never seen the whole thing, but it looks great to me.

 

I also think Wrestlepalooza 97 was the show where Lawler invaded the arena. That was a great show.

I was at Cyberslam 99 live, and I can remember it was a hell of a card, from top to bottom, plus the ECW fan convention I went to earlier in the day made it even more spectacular.

The Credible/Douglas match is a classic...when I made my top 50 ECW match list (couple pages back) I think I had that at #2 or 3...25 minute classic.

 

Palooza was a great show...they had so much good storylines mixed in.

 

One thing bugs me about Wrestlepalooza...Beullah and the ho bag Raven's with get into a catfight and here's what happens:

 

STYLES: "Catfight! Catfight"

 

RICK RUDE: "Hey Styles, wouldn't it be great if...*LONG CENSORDED BEEP*"

 

STYLES: "uh......catfight!"

 

It bugs me that I'll never know what Rude said...it was funny to hear it the first time.

i haven't been able to figure out what he says there too. it makes me laugh like hell when i watch it though.

well i guess we can only hope that on the DVD that it isnt censored. i am really looking forward to these two new selections to come out, i wish they would shorten up the time between the releases. And how bout a best of Shane Douglas, Raven, or Sandman.
