Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 10, 2002 I think this is a tough one. Obviously they are both fairly horrible, but both can talk fine and seem to be of pretty much equal ability and charisma. I think Sid might JUST take it, cos he was more willing to job and seemed to put more effort in.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 10, 2002 i always liked sid better. at least he looked like he was trying and having fun in the ring. plus be moved and wrestled better too IMO.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 10, 2002 Nash for match quality and promos, a tie for charisma, and Sid for drawing power.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 10, 2002 I like Sid better, but Nash has been a draw for a longer amount of time.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 10, 2002 I think Nash had a more constant charisma factor and he seemed more of a draw in my eyes although the numbers would more than likely prove me incorrect. Sid's character rivaled the Warrior's for the psycho part, and it really did more for me than Nash's lazy clique/nWo persona. I think Nash had the tools and the charisma to be much better but was set for a long time and didn't have to bust his ass, so he didn't. Sid, after the scissor incident, and his on/off softball career really had to push harder in a lot of his opportunities to keep them, therefore he looked better. Sid's strength was sometimes uncanny and when he played a mean heel, he was scary and it helped his matches look better. I too enjoyed Sid's work better, but I really feel that Nash was the better wrestler.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 10, 2002 Sid, by far. He wasn't a good wrestler (neither was Nash), but Sid was a far more entertaining character.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 10, 2002 Sid. Something about him I liked more than Nash..
Guest Masked Heel Report post Posted July 10, 2002 Nash for match quality and promos, a tie for charisma, and Sid for drawing power. I agree with you for everything but Sid's drawing power Nash like it or not led one of the biggest angles in wrestling history he may be a horrible wrestler and a scum of a person but overall i still think he's better than sid
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 10, 2002 i think sid has been the most over during his career though. everyone just loved this guy for years, and was getting big pops right up till the end of his last wcw title reign. sid in ecw ruled!
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I'd have to go with Kevin Nash. He wasn't as good in the ring as Sid was in the latter part of their careers, but at his athletic peak (Diesel) he was better than Sid at his peak. Nash was also a bigger draw and had better mic skills, obviously.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Your friendly neighbourhood TAKER MARK would have to say that overall, Kevin Nash is the better wrestler. IMO Nash had more charisma, in his prime was more manourverable ( yes i know i spelt that wrong ) and was just more entertaining. I've been a Nash mark since i was a kid though, so call me biased. This has been the Taker Mark
Guest DrEvil Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Sid just had a better aura about him. Sid would go to the ring and the crowd would be drawn to it. He had that unidentifiable "it" that meant he didn't need Benoit's skills, or Flair's bumping and selling. The presence he carried with himself made him worth watching. Overall, I'd also say his skill and style were better than Nash. Nash had this same aura, but to a lesser extent than Sid. Of course, there's also the smark reasons of Sid jobbing more often, and Nash having so many lazy matches.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I think if nash had put more effort in he would have better, but so goes life for a kliq'er.
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I'd have to say Nash because Sid's punches were just so god awful.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Psycho Sid was a much better character than Kevin Nash. Nash has that lazy-rebellious-teenager attitude, and it gets boring after a while. Sid always played the part of a psychopath to perfection. Neither were good wrestlers by a long shot, but Sid had more charisma than Nash ever did...... Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 11, 2002 sid has more charisma in his pinky then kevin nash does. my favourite sid character was the babyface sid. i don't know why but he always so entertaining as a face.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted July 11, 2002 I prefer Sid. Yeah, he's a shitty wrestler, but the guy's charisma works in spite of itself--his often incoherent mic work always managed to transcend its own awfulness in a consistently engaging manner. Guest alfdogg Report post Posted July 12, 2002 I too have always been partial towards Sid. Though I'd have to say Nash was better in his early WWF days.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 id have to go Nash slightly. They both had periods where they actually tried and were entertaining but Nash has always had worlds more charisma
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 15, 2002 It's funny, i was like 11 when dieselmania was running wild, and me and my friends all LOVED him. My favourite wrestler at the time was crush. We were dumb, dumb kids. I never really bought into sid at first, but he does at least try.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted July 17, 2002 sid did have an aura about him that nash never had. it was all in the eyes, he had this intensity that nash just didn't have (he was always too laid back in the ring; and i don't mean lazy, his facial expressions just weren't as colorful). sid is also ALWAYS good for a laugh. however, nash was an almost-decent worker at his peak when he wanted to be and when someone could play to his strengths and make him look good (i.e., bret and shawn). before his knees got shot to hell, nash could follow someone else's lead in a match and make his stuff look decent. sid, although he worked hard, couldn't hold up his end of a match to save his life. so, i give big sexy the edge.
