Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 I went to Blockbuster (hey, I still like them) and got the Wall DVD, and OH MY GOD! The Wall is like the best musical (for lack of a better word) movie I have ever seen. The music, the acting, the animation, everything is just AWESOME! If this were a real review, I'd give it **** or ***** depending on the scale, and say that it's a must-own for everyone who likes great but weird movies.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 It's pretty crazy. I bought the DVD when it first came out and never regretted it.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 I had comfortably numb stuck in my head for DAYS... damnit, there it is again...
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 i tried to watch it once while ripped on shrooms but got so bored with it that i stopped it so i could watch the exorcist.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 Yea, I like the songs, but I fell asleep while watching the video for it. It's a decent video, and parts of it were cool, like when the people walk into the shredder and come out as sausages, but on the whole I didn't like it that much at all. I think the reason for this is that the songs and album itself present a strong enough image already that when their idea of an additional visual representation is tacked on it's just too much.
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Tommy is a way better Rock Opera than the Wall. If you want to see something crazy download Dark Side of the Rainbow, its a movie that plays all the stuff on Dark Side of the Moon mixed with Wizard of Oz...some crazy shiznits
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Nah, I like the Wall better. I hadn't heard much Floyd before it, mostly Dark Side of the Moon, so I didn't have any mental images for it.
