I second Pop in Pittsburgh. Although now I just say Cola flavor because when I say Pop in Cincinnati I get confused looks...

Down here in the south, it's NEITHER of those. We just say "Coke" as a generic catch-all for all soft drinks.

SODA all the way. Pop just sounds stupid to me...

I got another for pop in Western PA. I was a conference in DC over the summer with 350 juniors and seniors, and one girl was taking a poll at dinner the one night. At last count, it was even with about 60 votes apiece for Coke, Soda and Pop.

It's coke, damnit.

That REALLY confuses people when you go anywhere north.

I'm from Texas, and I call it any of the big three (coke, pop, soda). Mostly coke, but of the big two I prefer pop.

(better than TNN's use anyway)

7-Up is most decidedly NOT coke. Neither is anything else I drink...

I'm from England, it is known as pop here, but I just usually call it by what it says on the can.

Soda, I didn't realize there was anything else to call it. (Jersey)

Soda in Jersey, though Cleveland is definitely pop country.
