Saturday Night Live- I waited overnight in January outside just to get a non guarantee standby ticket to the show. I've done this many times.

I've seen almost every episode of the past six seasons, met every castmember of the past two years and have seen seven episodes live. I'm obsessed.

Oh yea- Tina Fey has hugged me three times

I was obsessed with the Simpsons in 7th and 8th grade...which somehow made me the most popular person in school before I graduated.

And my obsession with Chyna in 11th and 12th grades also made me somewhat popular. To the point where people who didn't even know me would come up to me and say "How's Chyna?"

I'm a very obsessive person.

My obessions change as time goes on.

It was WWF, Indiana Jones, and Karate Kid when I was 8-9, then Comics from 11-13, then I just smoked a lot of weed from 14-17, then I really started to love baseball, I was always a fan but in 98 when the Sox were really good, they hooked me for ever. Now DVDs have become my obsession, I got my first DVD player for X-Mas 2000 and have since goten nearly 200 DVDs. My list is in the DVD folder for those who care.

::SG goes to update his list::

I'm right there with Some Guy. DVDs are my obsession. I bought myself a DVD player about a year ago and now I've got about 75 DVDs. The only reason I don't have more is because I was working for Pizza Hut for a while and thus getting really shitty paychecks.

Oh, and as sub-section of my DVD collection, I try to get as many awesome wrestling matches as I can.

Angle vs. Benoit vs. Jericho, Two Fall Match for IC and Euro Title

Dudleyz vs. Hardyz vs. E&C, Triple Threat Ladder Match for the Tag Titles

TLC I

TLC II

Hardyz vs. E&C, Terry Invitational Tournament Ladder Match

Hardyz vs. E&C, Steel Cage Match for the Tag Team Titles

Edge vs. Lance Storm, IC Title

Austin vs. Angle, WWF Championship, Summerslam 2K1

Angle vs. Benoit, Grudge Match, Wrestlemania X-7

Rock vs. Austin, WWF Championship, Wrestlemania X-7

Triple H vs. Cactus Jack, WWF Championship, Royal Rumble 2000

Benoit vs. Jericho, Ladder Match, Royal Rumble 2000

Flair vs. Steamboat, NWA World Title, WrestleWar 89

Benoit vs. Jericho, 2/3 Falls Match, Summerslam 2000

Mini Tournament for the Undisputed Championship (Rock, Austin, Angle, Jericho)

And many more to come, I'm sure...

I did this once, to see Garbage that time they did the show back in '99. I never even got in, but one guy I was with bribed a stagehand or something to get him in.

Whoa- that's pretty low.

EDIT- How much did he bribe? I was once bribed $500 but turned it down

What # were you and how long did you wait?

I was once #1 and maximum waiting time was 21 hrs in Jan (I wore shorts- which wasn't too smart)

Total teen show mark. This has already been explained in numerous threads, so I'll spare the repetition.

Also a well-known "movie addict", as I can't walk into a store without purchasing a VHS or DVD movie (usually several or more at a time). I'm very similar to Some Guy in that I got my DVD player for X-Mas 2000, and have built up a large collection in a relatively short time.

I can't believe you waited 21 hours. I hope it was worth it.

I actually have my ticket right here (it's blue). OK, it was actually for the SNL dress rehearsal, dated March 20, 1999. Host: Drew Barrymore, Musical Guest: Garbage. I didn't have to wait too long to get it, since my friends were already in line. My # was 31R.

Basically, we were turned down from the dress rehearsal. So, bored & discouraged, we headed to the Legz Diamond strip club around 53rd & 7th. Then we went back to the NBC studio around 11pm to see what was happening. My friend saw the stagehand running towards the door, and bribed him (I think it was $100). I ended up going home and watched it on TV.

Yea- I got in. Yay me. It was Jack Black/Strokes.

Now a days you can't save spots anymore which sucks I guess. When I get denied I just run to the train station all upset...I kinda like you're idea though- with #31 you don't got much of a shot.

BTW- I didn't take the $500- thank god I didn't or I would've kicked myself n the balls for missing Paul Simon

Pro hockey. I can't get enough. I watched the NHL Draft for 5 hours this year. Guess what my fave team is?

I'm also obsessed with anything Norm Macdonald.

I guess that fits in with SNL

Football ("Soccer") is my favorite thing, I watch it and play it all the time. I follow all the top European and South American leagues, collect different club shirts from teams around the world (Apoel Nicosia is my latest), read the different magazines (World Soccer etc) and newspapers, listen to all the endless radio coverage, read fanzines and often play myself on both saturdays (competitively) and sundays (knockabout with friends). I'm also up to my 17th season on Championship Manager and have even kept a record of my achievements on that particular game which is admittedly very sad indeed. I'm definately resemble more of an anorak where football is concerned than wrestling. At least males are supposed to be obsessed by football, you would get funnier looks if you said you didn't like it so i'm basically like countless millions around the world in some respects. The saddest personal thing is probably my memory of football events which certainly puts my regular everyday memory to shame.

I can also be a bit obsessive about films, TV shows (comedy shows especially) and music but football has always been no 1.

South Park is my main poison outside of wrestling. I have 76 episodes on my computer, and I never miss it on Comedy Central. That and amateur porn.

I have seen every single Jackie Chan movie that I can possible find. If I don't find them here, I buy them in Chinese. I can't even count how many times I have seen Rumble in the Bronx or Jackie Chan's First Strike or Who am I.
