Guest Invader3k Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 Just a question for anyone who subscribes to the Observer or any of the other newsletters out there? Is it worth the money? I would probably subscribe to the Observer as I enjoy Meltzer's comments on wrestlingobserver.com and just enjoy reading about wrestling in general. But the subscriptions are rather pricy. Any info would be appreciated.
Guest jtronx Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Yes. While the main advantage of subscribing to the Torch is the interviews, the Observer has good analysis and historical articles. I only wish the Figure 4 Weekly would merge with it...
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I think the Observer is worth it. If your on a budget, best to get smaller subscriptions like 4 or 7 weeks instead of half a year. Definitely worth it though if you want good writing, decent reporting, and actual facts backing up rumors and rumor killers.
Guest FakeRazor Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I'm not a subscriber, but I've read a lot of reports and they are extremely factual and packed with information. I'd have to say its worth subscribing to if you're thinking about it. I may have to subscribe sometime soon too.
Guest franchise632 Posted July 15, 2002 Report Posted July 15, 2002 I would definatly recomend the Observer, it is worth the price. Especially if you are into more then WWE. Lots of good MMA info, Japan, and Mexico. Considering the amt of info in each issue it not really that expensive, on average its 30,000 words. Roughly half the size of alot of books. Buy 2 books a month and it would probably be just as expensive a an Observer supscription. I can't wait to become gainfully employed again and start my subscription back up. I might suggest getting like a months worth to start, see if you enjoy it and then step up to a longer scrip.
