Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 I remember I sent away for the free trial copy that was advertised in WWF magazine and it was alright, but it didn't justify me paying 20 bucks a year for slightly "inside" information. How long did the newsletter last? Anything worth mentioning from the issues that followed the first one? Actually, it might not have been called "The Bite", I can't remember...
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 I believe it was called the bite and I remember seeing an ad for it in WWF magazine. What inside info did it have?
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Now I remember, it was called "The Bite: Uncensored". It was basically Russo writing from the perspective of the only heel writer in the WWF, and this was his "rebel" publication. He interviewed only the heels (Owen Hart was interviewed in the first issue), and shunned the faces. He also gave away the results for the monthly syndicated WWF Superstars taping. Seeing Russo was also a writer at the time, he also gave away the proposed matches for the upcoming PPV a few weeks before the final card was announced on WWF TV. It was about 12 pages long, but was pretty much tounge-in-cheek.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Oh, yeah...I remember ads in old WWF magazines with heels shilling it, like "Jeff Jarrett Reads "The Bite"...Why Don't YOU?"
