DDT

OK, forgive me for sounding like a dork with this one, but I know next to nothing about Puro, and my friend was showing me a Super Dolphin tape (which I liked, but that's a different federation), and then he was telling me about this Japanese federation called DDT. He said I would like it because I like silly/dumb gimmicks, and as proof he offered that one of the wrestler's gimmicks was that he was a wrestling tree, and then he talked about a wrestling box. He said a lot of DDT's wrestlers have gimmicks like that.

Anyway, I went to www.puroresu.com and found the website for the group (http://www.ddtpro.com ), but it's in Japanese. Are there any English websites on the group where I could find more information on this... "unique" sounding federation? Is there REALLY a wrestling tree? That'd be so awesome... I think.

Dude...

Just go to deathvalleydriver.com and ask for someone to fill you in on Ken the Box.

And it's SPWC, not DDT, where Ken wrestles.

Damnit, why do you think I'm telling you to go to Death Valley Driver? For shits and giggles?? Suffering CATS...

Yea, but Death Valley Driver scares me... seriously, plus I don't want to go to all the trouble of registering for a board just to ask one simple question. But I will anyway (sorry, old p05t wh0ring habit of the needless reply).

I too REALLY want to see some of that federation, it sounds... erm... interesting.

How can that tree wrestle? I'm guessing he takes those things off his arms.

Although if he didn't, a low blow sure would hurt ;)

The whole federation is, apparently, very different to anything we know as wrestling so far, coming across more like abstract wrestling art.

1) Why do they scare you? They probably love this shit just as much as you, if not more.

2) You don't need to register. You just post, and that's it. Simple.

Yeah, I think that SPWC is one of those weird 'art' things

Hogan made wrestling popular, SPWC made it an artform.

That's the problem, is that whenever I've been there in the past, the stuff I've read was just so darn technical that I felt like a fool for being lost in it. Anyway, I'm glad I got over my "fear", because I got several replies fairly quickly and they were really nice about it too. I won't let my prior misjudgings about others based on them knowing more than me hinder me again! Oh, I also ordered an SPWC tape, and when it comes in I'll probably write a review of it for the site. Hopefully, next time I get money, I'll order a DDT tape and they'll be next... hell, there just might be a little bit of a puro mark in me after all! ;)
