Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 11, 2002 He is being charged with the following: Criminal trespass, felony, two counts Criminal conspiracy, felony, one count Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, felony, one count Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, misdemeanor, one count Simple assault, misdemeanor, two counts Terroristic threats, misdemeanor, two counts Unlawful restraint, misdemeanor, two counts False imprisonment, misdemeanor, two counts Possession of an instrument of crime, misdemeanor, one count Sounds pretty major to me, with 2 felonies and I think 10 misdemeanors(does 2 counts count twice?) but the media has yet to make a huge deal about of it. Does anyone have a good knowledge of what kind of punisment a normal person or an athelete would recieve for this?
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 11, 2002 He'll get probation and a suspended sentence if convicted. Besides, he didn't injure anyone, steal anything, rape anyone, kill anyone.....it's really being blown up to much more than it is.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 12, 2002 According to my Cop buddy, He says if Iverson doesn't get Celeb treatment...He could take in 3-7 years. Keep in mind he failed the exam about 5 times.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 12, 2002 The Sixers should just release the guy, he's nothing but trouble no matter how good he is. I know I would.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 12, 2002 The Sixers should just release the guy, he's nothing but trouble no matter how good he is. I know I would. Fuck his outside antics. The guy basically took them to the finals last year. Who cares if he doesnt show up for pratice. The guy doesnt need it, if he can take them to the finals. He reminds me of Charles Barkley, always expressing himself.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Who cares if he doesnt show up for pratice. The guy doesnt need it, if he can take them to the finals. I think he needs some practice to work on that shooting percentage, what was it like 35%?
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 12, 2002 He was ranked 8th in the leauge for his Field Goal %. Face it guys, Allen Iverson is the best player since MJ.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Besides, Iverson steals the ball and generally wrecks havoc on the other teams' offense.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 12, 2002 He was ranked 8th in the leauge for his Field Goal %. Face it guys, Allen Iverson is the best player since MJ. Not in the playoffs. I agree that he is one of the best in the game today, not the best. To be team leader he should go to practice though, you know to set and example. I don't feel like trying to say that Iverson isn't great when I think he is, so I'll stop.

Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Well we dont know the story about the gun. Maybe he had a reason to bring the gun. All i know is A.I. is the best player in the leauge.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Allen Iverson isn't even the best guard in the Atlantic Division.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Bullshit. The guy lead the 76er's to the damn finals. The guy averaged this year and last year 30 points per game! NO one in the NBA can currently do that, NOT EVEN SHAQ. Sure he doesnt pass often, but to who? Maybe Aaron McKie, but thats basically it.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Having the highest scoring average does not equate to being the best player in the league, especially when a team is specifically built around one player, with no one else even expected to get a hand on the ball, much less score. Allen Iverson has the sixth highest career scoring average in NBA history. By your argument, that makes him better than George Gervin, Oscar Robertson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird and Julius Erving, among others who are also better players than Iverson. That's just ridiculous. Yeah, Iverson led the Sixers to the Finals in 2001. And the year before, Reggie Miller led the Pacers to the Finals. Before that, it was Latrell Spreewell. I don't think they see their way into too many "Greatest Player" arguments, either. Is Iverson the best scorer in the league? Almost definitely. But the best basketball player? Now that's bullshit. Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Charles was too busy expressing himself to get a ring...the same for Iverson???

Aaron Mckie? McKie is a pretty good player, but not has good as Houston or Jalen Rose.

NO one in the NBA can currently do that, NOT EVEN SHAQ. There is a BIG BIG BIG difference between not scoring 30 and not being able to score 30 a night. To say that Shaq does not have the ability to score 30 a night is just downright ridiculous. If it was not for Kobe Shaq would have at least 30 a game with his new found ability to shoot free throws (around 60-70% in the games I have seen) and if you gave him the 30 shots a night that AI takes he could average AT LEAST 40 a game and I don't think that is an exaggeration. If the sixers played in the west they would not have even come close to the playoffs last year and might have been a 5 or 6 seed the year they went to the finals. The east is a crapshoot with the emphesis on crap.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Everyone acts like the East is crap. A.I. got passed Carter, Davis, JYD, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Glenn Robinson. AND DID SOMETHING NO WEST TEAMS COULD, WIN A GAME AGAINEST THE LAKERS.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted July 12, 2002 4 games over .500 is no great shakes; and that's with Iverson averaging four more points per game than anybody else. That wouldn't even be good enough for the playoffs in the west. Scoring is overrated. Hell, Wally Sczerbiak could average 30 points if he took as many shots as Iverson did. He doesn't make anyone on his team better, and he's not going to accomplish anything else in the league until he realizes that.

Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted July 12, 2002 But the 76er's did somthing the West could not do, WIN A GAME AGAINEST THE LAKERS. So they won a game. I am not going to argue the fact that AI has the ability to dominate a game to the point where he will win by himself. It only means something when you win four games though. And Iverson has not shown himself to be able to consistently win the big one or hit the big shot. And honestly IMO if the Lakers gave a crap at all about that game I think they would have just swept them. They had won 15 straight and they were facing one of the biggest underdogs ever I don't think they felt like they needed to bring their A-game.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Good for them; maybe they can hang that from a banner. A win against the Lakers and a buck will get you a 20-minute phone call...
