Guest Spicy McHaggis Report post Posted July 17, 2002 I just think that Pierce can go 1 on 1 just as good as Kobe, only Pierce is a better shooter. He sure knocked down those free throws to lose the series to the Nets.
Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Jerome Drake Oh really thanks for correcting me. I'm sorry, man, but you kept saying Art Monk over and over again. This diehard Redskins fan had to say something. I wasn't trying to be a dick, really. alkeiper says From the "Hate to Burst your bubble" department, Harmon Killebrew and Ed Walsh both won championships. Well, you're half-right. Ed Walsh won in 1906, which I didn't realize because I knew that the Cubs won 116 games that year, and I just assumed they won the WS as well. I DID know that he got out of the White Sox organization before the Black Sox came into being. Harmon Killebrew, however, played for Washington/Minnesota from 1954-1974, and in that time, they never won a World Series. They won an American League Title in 1965 in Minnesota (they lost the WS to the Dodgers in seven games), but only the big rings count. The Senators won a title in 1924, and the Twins won two World Series - in 1987 and 1991. Killebrew played his last year, 1975, on the Royals, but they finished 2nd in the AL West behind Oakland. If you're looking for another name, for the sake of completion, how about Jim Rice? LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite. Guest Ripper Report post Posted July 18, 2002 "He sure knocked down those free throws to lose the series to the Nets.." And Kobe sure knocked down those freethrows that almost lost them the game against the Kings that went to OT.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Report post Posted July 18, 2002 And Kobe sure knocked down those freethrows that almost lost them the game against the Kings that went to OT. ALMOST.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted July 18, 2002 They won that game because of a 7'2" 350+ unstopable Center in the middle...
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 They won that game because of a 7'2" 350+ unstopable Center in the middle... So True.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I know I'll never change your anti-Kobe bias, so I won't try. I'll just enjoy the Shaq/Kobe dynasty. And laugh my ass off when Kobe begins his domination after the Big Fella's retirement. If you want AI, take him. I'd rather root for quality individuals than some guy that's "real wif da streets, yo" whatever that is.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Did I not just say Pierce and McGrady... Hell, give Ray Allen a few years and you might see another guy I would take. As it stands Kobe is the 3rd best 2 guard in the leauge in my eyes. Thats pretty damn good, I wouldn't call it biased.
Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Naw, Kobe is the best 2 guard in the league because he brings it every night unlike McGrady whom tends get lazy at times. He's better than Pierce (slighty) because he's a better defender than Pierce and a little better clutch player than Paul is. So your saying you would take AI over Kobe? AI is good and all but he's not better than Kobe.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I would take A.I. over Kobe.

Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 19, 2002 I'd take Iverson too. I'd rather have his faced paced style of play than some spoiled little rich boy who cries when he gets booed.

Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted July 21, 2002 Back to AI, whatever ya'll do don't mess with his mama. Did ya'll see when she somewhat snapped on those reporters this week.

Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 21, 2002 It was like watching the press conference all over again. "Blah Blah Blah Iverson's wife" "Did you talk to her?" "Umm, no" "Then shut up"
