Guest liam77 Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Hi As a kid in the UK we used to get some crappy clips show of WCW at crazy times of the night. Anyway, I remember seeing a cool match (at the time anyway) and wondered if anyone knows if its on any WCW PPV's? It was Dr.Death & Bam Bam Gordy vs Steiners (who I think were champs at the time). Dr.Death drilled Rick outside in a cool spot and the finish was a Frankenstenier with Dr.Death clotheslining Scott for the pin. I think it was a tournament? Also, I think there was a rematch for the titles which Doc/BamBam won. Anyone help? I'd love to see these matches again, even if they are really shitty. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Beach Blast 1992 or Great American Bash 92, I believe.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Both team fought at Beach Blast, Clash of the Champions 19 (Second round of NWA Tag title tournament) and at a house show in Atlanta where Doc & Bam Bam won the WCW tag titles. That may have been the match you're thinking of because the other two matches had different finishes. Beach Blast saw the match go to a 30 minute draw. The Clash match saw Doc & Gordy win after Gory clipped Scott's leg from behind.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted July 12, 2002 If it was the tourney I'd say it was that Clash match. The house show match was only briefly shown on TBS to say W and G had won the belts.
Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 No...if I remember correctly, this match was the finals of the title unification tournament at GAB 92. The rematch...maybe at Clash 19.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted July 13, 2002 The match didn't take place at GAB '92 becuase Williams & Gordy were already WCW tag champs (Won the belts the week before) and the NWA tag finals (on the GAB) saw Doc & Gordy beat Rhodes & Windham.
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted July 13, 2002 oh... Williams and Gordy. From the title, I thought you ment Steve Willams and Bam Bam Bigelow. Okay...
