Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 The guy basically commited his own suidice, by doing Steroids. Plus, the guy beat his wife. I'm sure if the guy wasnt a wrassler, you would be jumping in your shoes. So why should I feel sorry for his death?
Guest bob_barron Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Have you thought that there are two children who don't have a father anymore?
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Do those kids know that, that daddy beat mommy?
Guest bob_barron Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I don't remember it ever being confirmed that Bulldog did hit her. Now I know Diana wrote a book that claimed that but that got pulled from the shelves so you really don't know if he did or didn't.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I honestly dont care if the man had kids. He commited his own damn death. Like i said if Tom Cruise was doing drugs, and died of a OD. You all would be cracking jokes about it, despite the man also being a father.
Guest Ace309 Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Tom trips over the straw man as he comes in. See, I don't think anyone's demanded that you grieve. I think that if anyone requested anything of you, it would be that you remain respectful of Davey Boy since he's dead. Why? What has he done to earn our respect? Well, dammit, he died, and we're Westerners. It's a cultural thing. We don't go around bashing people just because they died, and in fact, we refrain from bashing people just because they died. It's in poor taste. At least, that's the way everyone I know works. The Mass Transit thread a few months ago somewhat proved me wrong.

Guest bob_barron Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Davey earned my respect by always making me happy whenver he was on TV. And he didn't OD. That was never proven or confirmed
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 And he didn't OD. That was never proven or confirmed I didnt say he OD. I was just placing a simlar scerino.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 You don't have to feel sorry for his family or grieve his death. I don't grieve his death, but I do feel sorry for his kids and I liked him as a wrestler.
Guest crandamaniac Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I just find it distasteful to make jokes about a man's death. Like it was stated earlier, you don't have to mourn for the guy, but at least respect him and let him rest in peace
Guest bob_barron Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Bulldog is/was? my all time favourite wrestler and basically a childhood god to me. He could do no wrong in me eyes and just hearing Hail Britannia makes me think of Davey. I still haven't gotten over his death- I can'rt watch the ending of Canadian Stampede, Bret v. Davey or Confidential without getting emotional. I was one of his biggest fans and his death still saddens and affects me to this day

I'm sure if the guy wasnt a wrassler, you would be jumping in your shoes. So why should I feel sorry for his death? my god...the ultimate warrior has infiltrated our board!
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Yeah, if the Ultimate Warrior is a black teenager living in Calgary. "I just find it distasteful to make jokes about a man's death. Like it was stated earlier, you don't have to mourn for the guy, but at least respect him and let him rest in peace" What about Hitler?
Guest Kid Kablam Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 What about Hitler? Dude, now you're just being an ass
Guest papacita Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 The way I see it, if you hate someone when they were alive, don't pretend to love them when they're dead. Not much more I can add....
Guest crandamaniac Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 What about Hitler? I don't recall The Bulldog having an army kill 6 million innocent people in his name
Guest The Son of Sting Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Just because he took steriods means you cant some respect? What about Hitler? Bro, that isnt funny.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I cant "some respect" him because he killed himself. Alive, i thought he was a dick. Now I'm not going change my opinion because hes dead.
Guest crandamaniac Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Any reason that you started this little flame war? I mean I don't care what you feel about the man, but like I said earlier, it's just distasteful to verbally attack somebody when they have no way of defending themselves. (Hitler excluded)
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 "Alive, i thought he was a dick. Now I'm not going change my opinion because hes dead" Then why the fuck did you start this thread?
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 I dont care if he cant defend himself. I'm not starting a flame war. I'm stating my opinion. I'm sorry if you guys dont like it, but deal with it. Why should i feel bad for Kurt Cobain, British Bulldog, Jimi Hendrix, or any of them? If they wanted to live, Bulldog wouldnt have done steroids, Cobain wouldnt have shot himself, and Hendrix wouldnt have done drugs.
Guest DrTom Posted July 12, 2002 Report Posted July 12, 2002 Jerome, if you insist on flame-baiting, have the decency to keep it in NHB. It doesn't belong here. This will be your only warning. Thread closed.
