Complex question

After all the shit that the WWF writers get for writing horrible storylines, all the shit the WWF gets for putting too many promos and not enough wrestling, and the drop in ratings, why doesn't old Vinnie Mac pull his head out of his ass and make a much needed change to the WWF.  Start by hiring new writers (hopefully people that are fans of wrestling, and not failed sitcom writers).  That should fix alot of things right there as long as they understand the need of the wrestling fan.  It is after all the World WRESTLING Federation, not the World SOAP OPERA Federation.

Here's a big FUCK YOU to the entire McMahon family.  FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You make me feel cheap everytime I watch one of your shows.

Wow, you're so mature. =) Do you always swear when you don't get your own way? Why don't you use new Christian's gimmick and throw a tantrum. Yeah, sure, the WWF is in a bit of a dip, but they'll come out of it. They always do. =) Take care.

Well it logic would dictate that when writing a wrestling program you would hire good writers who are fans of wrestling.

I've seen some of the best booking in the WWF on message boards. Becaus the fans look at the WWF as a wrestlering company. The WWF writting staff seems to be writting a bad sitcom. It's not even a good one.

Vince's ego is so overblown it isn't funny. People are bitching nearly non stop about the WWF product. But thats just a small portion of the fan base. The ratings are down. Those fans don't get it.

Vince needs to realize he isn't god and bealive me there has been endless proof of that.

1)Blew the invasion the easyest to write angle in wrestling history.

2)Has more talent under one roof then any fed in history but doesn't use 2/3 of it.

3)Puts on subpar wrestling nealy 90% of the time.

Simply put the WWF needs an overhaul. Insulting and ignoring your fanbase and insulting their IQ isn't a good idea.

WWF thinks their invunerable becaus their the only game in town bullshit they can die. It'll take ratings in the 2.0s for Vince to get it. Sad really.

Vince won't fire the writers because Stephanie's on the creative team. He probably wouldn't have a problem firing Heyman or that other Hollywood writer.

It gets rather depressing when you notice that all of the WWF's follies as of late.....as of the year so far heh.....are because or terrible shameless writing.

Just the fact that they don't use half the talent they have is ludicrous. How about how we all bitch about so and so lacking in a good feud or in character development? I can guarantee you if we had better writing, we wouldn't be on Test/ Edge/ RVD/ anyone as much as we are now.

EWhat happened to having a midcard? What happened to giving them mic time and a chance to display what they have?

WHAT HAPPENED TO CONTINUITY?

Jeee-sus....can this dark age that looms before us be worse than the prior one?

Vince...get WRESTLING FANS AS WRITERS...not Hollywood bollocks. I beg of thee.

I agree with that. I've read many posts with great idea's on past and upcoming WWF storylines. Lots of them happened during the WCW invasion. It would of meant the WWF would have to spend some money, but Vince proved he didn't know how to book the invasion or wanted to make WCW look bad one last time.

A bit of a dip???  This has been going on for the better part of a year and a half.  I don't understand how some people don't understand what is going on.  They just seem to be brainwashed like all the marks.  Immaturity and myself go hand and hand.

Yeah, and WCW always pulled stupid shit and they always came out of it somehow until the ideas and illogical thinking put them down and out for good. If you think clearly, you can see how the WWF is making some of the exact same decisions that WCW made and the end result is failure.

It isn't that I don't agree with you in theroy, I just think there was no need for the personal attacks on the McMahons. I'd like things to be shaken up as well, but Vince seems to be doing the majority of the booking at the moment and has been overruling a lot of ideas proposed by the rest of the writing team. Hopefully when the split happens, the booking will be spread equally. Here's hoping.

When the split happens...the same writing team will write both shows. They may need to write 3 good quality shows if Heat becomes the #2 show for one of the feds.

...and through all this, Vince McMahon is the guy on the Forbes 400 who has remained in business for over 2 decades and built a company worth close to a billion dollars, while all of you are posting on a wrestling message board while between class or loafing at work. It's not hard to see who is right and who is wrong...

The WWf has about the same ratings it was pulling right before the monday night wars started.

Actually, i think the ratings now are at least a full point higher than they ever were before the Monday Night Wars.

The WWF ratings are way higher than they were before the "Monday Night Wars" started. They're getting 4's, back then they were getting high 1's-2's.

Well, I know Nitro was drawing right below the four point mark in late 1996, even though the shares probably weren't as high. I'm sure the WWF was in that area before competition.

They probably did some high ratings in the '80s, but when the "Rock 'N' Wrestling" boom ended, ratings went down.

I know these aren't pre-Monday Night Wars, but here's a few RAW ratings before WCW started seriously competing.

April 8, 1996 - 4.7 overall

May 6, 1996 - 4.1 overall

and then things started heating up, but Nitro in those times was below 2.0

I don't know. There were a lot of times where Raw got a big rating when there was no Nitro due to the NBA Playoffs. I seem to remember Raw & Nitro being in the high 2's until WCW took over.
