Guest The Superstar Report post Posted July 12, 2002 I'm getting interested in Toryumon, so what are some good videos to start with? Golden Boy tapes has a lot of them for $10...which ones are good? Thanks.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted July 12, 2002 The only one I have is Toryumon Comes to Japan, and it's really good. But I hear the more recent stuff is better though, like the 7/01 PPV show.
Guest shlidgn90 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 a good tape to start off with is the commercial tape with dragon kid vs. suwa hair/mask match on it. most of the matches on that tape are jaw dropping. i maybe wrong but i think it is titled crazy max vs. m2k. Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Like Wolverine said, go with Toryumon Comes to Japan, 3rd Aniversario PPV, and just some older TV blocks from 1999. I personally like the older stuff than they newer.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 If you go to toryumonusa.tripod.com you can get some comps of the earlier stuff with their best matches. I really recommend it cuz he really knows Toryumon.
Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 I really like Magnum TOKYO, and CIMA and Mochizuki are really growing on me. Anything recent would be really good. I saw a great match between TOKYO and Mochizuki for Mochizuki British Light Heavyweight Championship. It was sweet.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 12, 2002 Magnum TOKYO is one of the best on the roster. Any of his matches and Dragon Kid's are a really good way to go.
Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted July 13, 2002 Word on the grapevine is that Magnum Tokyo's act has become terribly stale as he has been doing the same thing for the last few years. His recent heel turn and joining with M2K will hopefully re-energise him when he gets used to the role. Mochizuki is great though, and SUWA too.
Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted July 14, 2002 Yeah, and remember, nothing makes great matches like a heel turn. Magnum and Dragon could GET IT ON, muthafuckas, and it will be one of the Best of 2002. Trust moi.
