NWA- Total Nonstop Action

WEEI in Boston reported that the NWA-TNA pay per view last week had Tennessee Titan players at ringside. Reportedly Jarrett was supposed to laugh at them, they'd take a microphone (in the crowd) and laugh back at Jarrett, after which another Wrestler would run down and challenge Jarrett

 

BUT what happened was the Titans were (probably a little tipsy) and decided to charge into the Ring to challenge Jarrett themselves, other wrestlers ran down and it ended in chairs flying and punches thrown, people thrown into the ring (normal wrestling shit).

 

Tennesee Titans GM on the other hand found it to be horrendous, and is said to be making a big deal of what happened, and wants to reprimand the players saying that a pro wrestling ring is the last place they should be 2 weeks before camp.

 

Think this might be some publicity that could help them out? hurt them?

There is no such thing as bad publicity...

 

especially for a start up promotion.

 

Their exposure on Sportscenter may net them a few more buys (from people who have heard of the promotion...but have yet to try them out).

 

Thus far the shows have been good enough that if they deliver another good show next week...they may make these new viewers fans too.

 

So far so good.

One thing the incident could do is get more people into the live crowd for the show, which wouldn't hurt after last week's somewhat meager turnout. The Titans are treated like gods around here, and you can always find at least one of them hanging around big or important events.
