Raw preview

Recommended Posts

Guest bps "The Truth" 21

Rob Van Dam isn't the type of guy to forgive and forget.

Last week on RAW, the Intercontinental Champion suffered a brutal attack by Brock Lesnar during a 10-man tag team match featuring RVD. The Next Big Thing went so far as to smash RVD with the F5 on the steel entrance beneath the TitanTron!

Will RVD let his anger simmer until he meets Brock on July 21 at Vengeance, or will Mr. Monday night have something in store for the WWE newcomer and his agent, Paul Heyman soon? Find out Monday night during RAW at 9 p.m. ET!

Also, the nWo issued an ultimatum to Triple H, but suffered a huge setback with Kevin Nash tearing a quadriceps. How will this feared faction recover?

One thing's for sure, with WWE back in the tri-state area, this episode of RAW is sure to have some surprises in it. Don't miss RAW, Monday at 9/8 CT on TNN, live from Continental Airlines Arena!

I've said it a ton of times...when the WWE is in doubt...they always turn to RVD.

When is the last time that RVD was on the preview?

Nash tears his quad and they have to decide where they go from here?

RVD time, baby!!!!

And now I look forward to RAW.

Maybe we can have RVD stalking Heyman and Brock the entire evening, taking out heels that give him sh*t. Brock acts as though he wants to take on RVD, but Paul keeps making him move.

Anyway, I watch RAW no matter, but maybe I'll enjoy myself more since the show is being based around RVD.

RVD hardly seems the sort to stalk people...it's just SOOOO Austin.

He was stalking Jericho during their scrapped feud.

He found Storm in Jerichos dressing room and beat him that night.

They never explained why Storm was in there.

Guest Smell the ratings!!!

Well, last week the preview was about Taker's next move, and we saw what an impact he had.

But at least he was mentioned.

and besides, HHH/NWO and Brock/RVD are the only 2 angles on Raw at the moment.

Unless you count Harvard vs. Bradshaw.

And you shouldn't. <_<

How sad is it that HHH is involved in one of the two angles on Raw...

AND HE ISN'T EVEN ON RAW!!!!

It's good to see that they have sacrificed Booker T for the HHH angle.

Wasn't this during the same time period where Jericho was gathering his own stable which comprised of the current Pro-Canadians, before that was killed off?

RVD in the preview... heh. Last week, I sort of complained that he WASN'T in the preview...

When the chips are down, turn to Mr. Pay Per View, I guess.

No, I bet RVD does stalk Brock...and then he'll kidnap Heyman and bring him into the ring with a toy gun, hold it to Heyman's head until he pisses his pants, and he'll fire...then the "Bang" flag will come out of it.

If there's one thing the WWE loves doing, it's recycling angles.

It would STILL be better than what I fear they will come up with.

Kidnapping Heyman and stalking Brock are things that sound completely out of character for RVD. Austin used to stalk and kidnap Vince but it fit his psycho redneck persona better. RVD wasn't really stalking Jericho I didn't think, he was just looking for him to ask for a match and kick his ass. As far as Storm being there, well he and Jericho have been on and off allies for quite a while (as well as former tag partners).

RVD! Yes, if he gets the show damn near based around him i'll be one happy wrestling fan. RVD is always over, might as well ride the wave.

How will WHAT feared faction recover? The nWo? Feared? Oh, no....two (well, one) cripples, a stoner, and a fatass!

Wow...the nWo is Michaels, Show, and X-Pecker...

I think the way they should go is rvd costing him his first loss with a van daminator. Dunno who to though. Him maybe?

Knowing the WWE, they'll ignore the Observer's ratings breakdowns and say that the high ratings were for the nWo and nWo only! "RVD? You see that 1.5 rating for Trish vs. Jackie? That's actually the rating for RVD vs. Benoit! Stupid Observer..."

The ratings breakdown is incredibly pointless. For the most part, each quarter is completely independent happening and usually any ratings gains are not based on what's actually happening unless you expect that two million people are sitting at home wondering if they should watch wrestling or baseball or Raymond and are waiting for a phone call from their friend to turn it on. There are only two major points to go on; that a show stays strong and retains it audience, and like wise that it turns off it's audience as the show goes on. Otherwise, why would ratings reflect each quarter, but rather the quarter before and the previous patterns. If main events matter and are good, than more people tune in to see them. Likewise opening segments. Maybe people will stick around for a few segments they're waiting for. But than again they might get turned off early in the show which is not reflective on so and so who they tuned in for. But if you're consistently main eventing, than you're consitantly going to be at the higher end of the ratings. That's the only general principle in wrestling.

If it wasn't Trish I would be all for it. There is nothing wrong with a couple minutes of entertainment like that provided. I have too much respect for Trish the wrestler lately to want to laugh at how that would go again however.
