August 3, 1997, SummerSlam: Austin beats Owen (without breaking his neck) for the IC title, Bret beats Undertaker to win his 5th WWF championship.

 

September 7, 1997, IYH Ground Zero: Austin/Patriot team against Bret/Owen. If either Austin or Patriot pin or force to submit either Bret or Owen they become the new WWF champ. Austin p. Owen. Austin is the new WWF champ.

 

October 12, 1997, IYH Badd Blood: Austin faces Neidhart, Bulldog, Owen, Bret (Pillman was scheduled but, you know, shit happens). Whoever wins the match faces the next guy, like tag turmoil rules. Austin beats Neidhart, Bulldog and Owen soundly. Austin hits the stunner on Bret when Owen runs in for the cheap DQ win for Austin. HBK beats Undertaker in hell in a cell when Kane debuts for the #1 contendership.

 

October 13, 1997: RAW: Sgt. Slaughter makes the determination that since the end of the Bret/Austin match was a DQ that HBK will face Bret tonight, winner gets a shot at Survivor Series. Austin runs in to give Bret a DQ win.

 

October 20, 1997, RAW: Austin and Dude Love, the tag champs, say they will defend the belt against “any two sons of bitches who want a shot”. Bret Hart walks out and says “I’ll face you, Stone Cold. And my partner…Shawn Michaels!”. The question is whether Bret and Shawn, known rivals, can show unity. They’re both after Austin now, so they have a common enemy. During the match they squabble, and Bret holds Dude up for a superkick, but Shawn hits Bret, then Shawn breaks up Dude’s pin, Shawn superkicks Bret again, throws him out of the ring, then superkicks Dude one more time for good measure to secure the tag team titles for he and Bret.

 

October 27, 1997, RAW: Shawn Michaels beats Steve Austin with the help of Bret Hart to become the new IC champion.

 

November 3, 1997, RAW: LOD beats Bret and Shawn when they BUTT heads to become the new tag champs. Shawn throws the IC title down and walks out. Austin ups the ante for the Survivor Series match with Bret: It’s a retirement match.

 

November 9, 1997, Survivor Series: Bret beats Austin by DQ.

 

November 10, 1997, RAW: Sgt. Slaughter says that since Austin’s still the champ, that he cannot retire, but at the December 7 IYH event, there will be a rematch, and it will in fact be a retirement match. Shawn Michaels beats Steve Austin to win the WWF title with Bret’s help.

 

December 7, 1997, IYH Pink Slip: Steve Austin beats Bret Hart in the retirement match. Shawn Michaels successfully defends the WWF title against Dude Love.

 

From there everything goes the way it originally happened with Austin winning the rumble, then winning the belt at WrestleMania.

That's not bad at all, except I dont know about Austin winning the title that early...I think in the time leading to Survivor Series, they made Shamrock look like a threat to HBK and Bret Hart b making them tap...if he had won the belt at SS, we would have saved ourselves that run on sentence that is, the Screw Job.

So at one point, you had Austin will all 3 major WWF titles?

Nice Idea but you could have gone this route...

 

Summer Slam-Austin beats Owen for the I.C Title (Breaks Neck), HBK hits Undertaker with Chair and Bret wins title for the Fifth time.

 

Ground Zero-Shawn beats Owen via Chyna's interference and Bret beats Undertaker via Bulldog interference.

 

Badd Blood-The Patriot Beats Bret Hart via DQ and Shawn beats Undertaker in HIAC via Kane's debut. Owen Hart wins I.C Title from Mero in tourament thanks to Austin's return.

 

Raw-October 13th-DX attacks Owen and his Wife (at home) and forces Bret to defend the title next Monday, Bret agrees but demands it be in a Steel Cage. HBK agrees. Dude Love and Austin win the World Tag titles.

 

Raw-10-20-97

Owen Hart and Bulldog wrestle Dude Love and Austin and Owen threatens to break Austin's neck again but thanks to Love, he saves Austin but falls to a Bulldog slam and they lose the titles. HHH is attacked by Neidhart and Owen and Bulldog before the match and Slughter bans Dx and H.F from the ring. Shawn loses to Bret, thanks to Undertaker popping from under the ring and giving Bret the win. This pisses off Bret and gets in a shoving match with 'Taker.

 

Oct. 27th-Owen and Bulldog lose the tag titles to LOD thanks to Austin. Austin and Owen sign for a I.C title match at S.S. Bulldog and HHH sign for a euro Title match at SS. Shawn goes off on a Tirade against Undertaker and demands a match at S.S but Bret comes out and says "Screw that, Undertaker is my bitch and I want kick his ass for what he did to me last week". Undertaker comes out and attacks both of them and Kane comes out and tears Undertaker apart.

 

Nov. 3rd- Undertaker announces that he will decide who he will face at Survivor Series but Paul interupts and offers him a match with Kane but he does the whole "I'll never fight my brother deal". Kane attacks Undertaker. Shawn lobbies for a match with Taker as does Bret. Sgt. Slughter announces a 3 Way Elimination match between Shawn/Undertaker and Bret Hart for the world title.

 

Survivor Series-  HHH beats Bulldog for the European title via NAO. Austin beats Owen cleanly and Shawn lays Bret out with the Super Kick and goes for the pin but Undertaker stops him with a Chokeslam and prepares for the pin but Kane arrives and attacks Undertaker and Bret awakens and lays him hands over Shawn for the win.

 

Nov 10 Raw.-Austin says screw the I.C title, He wants the World Title. Shawn whines to Sarge but gets denied at rematch with Bret.

 

Nov. 17th-Bret offers Stone Cold a World Title match at IYH but Stone Cold Says "Put your career on the line" Bret says no. Austin says fine. Bulldog demands HHH a rematch for the European title next week on Raw. Owen Hart returns and beats Undertaker thanks to Kane.

 

Nov. 24th- Austin attacks Bret in the Bathroom. HBK and Undertaker agree for a Rematch at IYH in a Casket Match. HHH fakes his injury and says he can't wrestle Bulldog, Bulldog calls it Bullshit and Sarge comes out and says "If HHH can't wrestle, Then Shawn can!" Shawn is Seriously Pissed! Shawn has the match won with a Super kick but Undertaker arrives and Chokeslams HBK and Bulldog wins the title back. Bret decides that he WILL put his career on the line for a Chance at Austin.

 

Dec. 1st- Owen attacks Austin and piledrives him on the metal ramp and Austin is strechered out. Sarge suspends Owen for 90 days. DX(sans Chyna) do a number on Bret Hart just for the hell of it in the parking lot before Undertaker comes to the rescue but then a car comes squealing out of nowhere and runs over Undertaker and it's Chyna. DX taunt Undertaker but Kane arrives and takes them all out and stares down his brother and nods his head.

 

 

Dec.7th. - Undertaker loses to Shawn in the Casket match in the same way in RR98. Bret Hart figures Austin won't be showing up and offers a Non-title Match to Ken Shamrock, Ken Shamrock's music hits but it's Austin who comes out! He beats Hart in a 35 minute classic. Bret has to retire from WWF. Austin defends the title aganist Kane at Royal Rumble, Undertaker causes him the title, Austin beats Owen at No Way Out and Beats Shawn at WM.
