Hogan and irony

Recommended Posts

Guest LowSparkOfHighHeeledBoys

Arguably, Hulk Hogan is the person who brought wrestling to mainstream attention, back in the eighties. He is still around today, and has the opportunity to be the one to kill the business once and for all.

Hogan was indirectly responsible for the death of WCW, because he was in people's ears (and up backsides if you beleive some others, but thats a different story), and got his friends on the booking commitee to bury people he didnt like.

Now, if this nWo angle fails to catch on like Vince thinks its going to, and the WWF turns into WCW 2.0, like some people fear, than it will once again be Hogan who directly or indirectly is responsible for the demise of the WWF.

I can't help but think its a tad ironic that the person responsible for most of what made wrestling on TV what it is today, will possibly be the same person that destroys not just one, but two of the major providers of said wrestling.

"I have an opinion. Perhaps it's different from yours. Deal."

I'll do just that and keep my mouth shut for now.

Could happen, but you'll also need to includ Kevin Nash.

for the destruction of WCW, Nash counts...but I dont think Nash really was one of the forunners of the wrestling media blitz, so I didnt include him.

What you guys seem to fail to realize is that in WCW, Hall Nash and Hogan all got tons of money and all the creativity, and didnt answer to anyone.  They had free reign to fuck around and try out whatever they felt like on a given day, and thats why the product sucked.  Take away their free reign and have them do what vince says, and its vinces fault. not the nWo.
