I read it when it first came out and thought it was pretty good... but then I got away from comics and am going to get back into them soon. I thought it had a lot of good humor in it personally.

If you liked the beginning of Deadpool, and are planning on buying the back issues, do not waste time on the Frank Tieri issues. It was supposedly some of the worst issues ever released of any comic.

I believe I read like the first 7-10 and they seemed fairly decent. Are we talking before or after that?

I liked the Christopher Priest issues, where he tried to get this "Seinfeld with super heroes" thing going, with Constrictor and Titania as Wade's roommates, but I dropped the title once Priest was kicked off.

This might be a good time to get back on the book, since I believe it was just relaunched as Agent X or something like that. Gail Whatshername from comicbookresources.com is writing it.

I might start picking this up. Priest was best at writing the book, but I can maybe justify buying the comic if Udon still does the artwork.

If you liked the earlier issues of deadpool, keep on with the first 30 -40 issues.. They were all written by the same writer, (Joe Kelly) and had a GREAT run leading up to some good, funny/serious stuff with typhoid Mary...

I stuck with some of the priest issues, but it just didn't have the same flavor that the earlier good stuff with deadpool had.. He went out of his way to basically rewrite/ditch the Joe Kelly stuff.. So it didn't feel the same.

The recent UDON stuff is good, good stuff, and more clsely resembles the earlier deadpool issues, with a great artstyle and mixture of seriousness and demented humor..

I used to have his first 16, but then they were thrown away in my mass throw away spree of comics. He was the first one that really got me into reading comic books, and then it took off from there. I cant seem to remember in which issue of X-Men did he have his origin in. I keep thinking he was sent to kill Wolverine, but i could be way off.

deadpool as a book is great, it was fun to work on. but i'm not too thrilled with udons coloring. comic coloring is suposed to be kinda bright, but udons style of coloring is too flat for me.

I've been trying to figure this out - are UDON ex-Dreamwave guys, or is it just a coincidence that they're mostly Toronto-based?
