Apparently, its going to be the night of a 1000 promos, since we know we have to hear Vince and the nWo, Stephanie, HHH, Kurt Angle, Jericho, and Austin promos. Angle has to say something about how he won his gold medals fair and square and didnt have to whine and moan about anything being unfair to get them, unlike the Canadian Figure skaters. I just hope the nWo thing doesnt deteriorate into "Have a good main event and then have a big nWo beatdown before it can end every single show on free tv" I mean, I trusted Tony wasn't lying when he said it was going to be the biggest main event ever, even though I knew the main event was going to end in a nWo beatdown...or something like that..

The official ref (Steph) made a 2 count and you can't overturn that. HHH is guaranteed to look like a cry-baby.

Angle, because if they make HHH somehow get into the main event, i think ill snap. Angle won the damn match, so he should go, period. And i also think Vince should grow some balls and let Jericho Vs. Angle main event Mania and let them be the last match, since the title match is always last at Mania. None of that nWo crap as the last match, because Jericho and Angle havent worked hard the past few months for nothing, only to let the nWo just come in a month earlier and main event the Granddaddy of them all.

If they intend on putting HHH back in the main event for Mania, then having him lose to Angle last night seems like really bad booking. It didn't do anything but surprise people, most of whom still think/know HHH is going to get the spot anyway. If the main event is still going to be HHH-Jericho, then I just don't see the upside to HHH losing last night. And when they overturn it, it's just going to make HHH look like a crybaby -- like Jericho's WCW character.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 its not about growing balls, its business sense. the fans dont want to pay for a main event in which there are two guys whom they have been trained to hate. they should still do the match, but it just cannot be the main in its current form unless somebody turns before mania. otherwise the buyrate may be affected, and it further destroys the legacy of wrestlemania. and really, they need to have an nwo match as the main (unless a ME face gets involved in title), because that is really the principal story in the wwf at the moment.

Guest Dangerous A Posted February 19, 2002 Report Posted February 19, 2002 Let's wait and see what happens tonight. I think an ideal scenario would be 3 matches out of the HHH, Angle, and Jericho. Sort of a round robin if you will. I don't care what any of you say, HHH looked to be a little quicker last night. I think by WM he will be back to normal speed.(which by the way, he wasn't the fastest guy in the first place) Also a lot of you swear up and down that just because HHH has some rust and is 2 steps slower that he can't get it back. Just reading some of the posts I wouldn't be surprised if some of you would sprout a woody if HHH while injecting roids went ahead and accidentally got an air bubble in there and the man just fucking dies on us. Lighten up a little people. He doesn't have THAT much power.

We'll have two guys who've gotten HUGE in the last year, has won the belt for the first time coming into it (Diesel), and despite Angle being a champion he's still pretty new, as far as Main Eventing a Wrestlemania Goes. All this is fine, but they have another "bigger" match after the Title match, though this time we dont have to cry through Bam Bam and Lawrence Taylor, but we'll get Hogan and Rock.

We're going to get Flair to say HHH was screwed so at WM they will be a Triple Theat match with Jericho vs. Angle vs. HHH. And for the love of God...NO EDGE/REGAL match! It's time to move on. Edge didn't get the job done. Stick him back with Christian. And give RVD the I-C Title.

What bastards, they force Raw off of TNN, then don't even show it live. They should have some kind of obligation that if they're the exclusive holders of Canadian broadcasting, they should have to always have it on.
