The State is my favorite MTV show ever. It wasn't cancelled that fast, at least compared to the others. And to whoever said Norm, wasn't that on for like 3 years?

A great idea, IMO. It was just all wrong.

Clerks: TAS was SO screwed over by ABC, airing the episodes in improper order, showing it in summer, producing only six episodes, etc.

From the View Askew website:

Clerks animated series is scheduled to begin appearing May 31st in ABC and will have a six-episode run to start off. If the show does well it may get renewed for a full season, which Chris Bailey confirmed would be a 22 episode commitment. If you’ve heard anything about it, then you probably know that none of the Clerks: The Cartoon team was happy with the fact that the show got pushed back from its original premiere time of March. Unfortunately, a summer airing schedule most likely negates any possibility of the show being renewed.

The story seems to be that everyone really dug the show except Mike Eisner, who "didn’t get it." So the decision was made to hold off on airing it until after the regular TV season. Kevin and several others sounded off against this on the web board, which got picked up by the regular media.

For a little while it looked as if Kevin and crew might buy the show back from ABC and possibly release it as a feature length movie. They eventually decided against it. So, the show will air on ABC on May 31st.

Mike Eisner is the CEO of Disney, so basically he didn't like it and he calls all the shots, but they felt they had to give it it's promised 6 episode shot and they set it up to fail. I think it had a good shot at earning some respectable ratings and staying on for a few years, unfortunately we will never know.

On the DVD commentary, there were so many good ideas for upcoming episodes such as Jay joining a boy band, Dante getting replaced with a K.I.T.T. and no one noticing, etc.

I'd like to reccomend that anyone, whether you've seen the series or not pick up that DVD. The shows are great and include 2 unaired ones and the whole story of their treatment by ABC and future ideas and whatnot are awesome as well.

The Job (just when I was starting to get into it)

Action

George Lopez Show (I Predict this is going to UPN for Obvious reasons)

So Undeclared and The Job are actually gonna be gone? Damn it. Damn it all to hell.

I admit not being one of the persons tuning in to the initial run of The Job, but when they aired a few episodes on Comedy Central it was good. And Denis Leary is a god.

Undeclared was another one of my favorites.

And watching re-runs of Sports Night on Comedy Central, I thought that would've had a longer shelf life.

The Job -- It got canned? Didn't know it finally got the boot.

George Lopez Show -- How long did that one last? I saw one preview and I predicted 3 episodes...

Action -- Is that the one about the movie agent? If so, I remember FX showing all 5(?) shows that aired on "big" Fox seemingly daily.

And let's not forget that sitcom with that guy in a cooking show -- Emirl (sp)

Dark Angel got cancelled???

Damn, I never watch the show, but the girl on it is hot as shit.

Anyway, I liked the show Getting Personal with Vivica Fox, which I think got taken off the air twice before Fox just cancelled it for good.

The Keenan Ivory Wayans show (that show was hot for the time it was on. I was shocked when it got cancelled)

Jaleel White (URKEL) had a new show out a couple of years back that had maybe an episode or 2 before getting cancelled. It was on UPN.

And I'm probably the only person in the world who watched EVERY EPISODE of the Magic Hour!

Dark Angel getting the Tuesday spot led to the eventual demise of Family GUy, it can rot in hell to never be seen again for all i care, man i hate Fox, where crap like Bachelorettes in Alaska gets aired, but a potential breakout hit like Family Guy gets the boot

God, the Devil, and Bob! That show was hilarious, and it ran for... seven episodes.

Sports Night didn't last too long either, though longer than the others on here.
