I'm fond of beer. The three I drink the most are Bud Light, Rolling Rock and St. Pauli Girl.

 

What are some of the favorites around here?

guiness is a meal but I don;t like it. I drink yeungling, sam adams, coors light, and sometimes heinekin but, if I want to treat myself and the boys, sam adams cherry wheat is the way to go. It's not a beer to get drunk off of, but it is a fine sipping beer, get to watch a game or something

I'll basically drink any beer, favs are Michelob Light, Bud Light and Miller Lite, always in bottles. But I have a question for the group........which of you out there are a Natural Light fan? Usually $10 a case, it basically tastes like beer flavored water, but it gets the job done.

You guys are scary. If you're going to drink cheap crap at least have some self respect and drink Pabst, High Life, Schaefer or Schlitz.

 

I find myself drinking lots of Stella Artois, too.

 

Yeungling is great, I just can't find it around here at all.

I have always hated beer. When I was first was offered a sip when I was a kid I thought it tasted awful. As I got older and saw how popular beer was and how everyone seemed to like it I thought it would grow on me but it hasn't. I've tasted many types of beer over the years and for taste alone I still think it's awful.

I'll drink pretty much anything, but my semseter abroad in Europe (GO COLLEGE!) provided me with my greatest beer experiences. These are:

 

(1) Being introduced to a beer called Directors in London, fucking greatest beer ever.

 

(2) Getting drunk as fuck at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany and dancing my ass off to the polka band playing there

 

(3) Getting hammered at the Heinekin Brewery in Amsterdam, then smoking the best weed ever(legalize it!) .

 

(4) Drinking black and tans untill I couldn't walk in Dublin.

I'm trying to get myself to drink whiskey straight... but I can't do it JUST yet.

 

Anyway, if the main ingrediants are barley/hops/alcohol... I'll drink it. My only real favorite is Labatt's.

Moosehead is a fine beer, but it has also been the cause of the worst hangovers of my life.

 

So it is definately a double-edged sword.

The closest I have ever come to a hangover was a minor headache I awoke with one May morning in a friend's dorm during a road trip stop in Rhode Island. The reason? The previous night saw me downing bottle after bottle of Killian's and Foster's; quite a bit of vodka; and a delicious banana-flavored liquer of which the name escapes me. Good times, good times....

I'm generally speaking one of the only humans I know that would drink 40's of Olde English any time. Aside from that, I'm down with:

 

Keiths India Pale Ale

Corona

Labatt Blue

Export

Guiness (only for special occasions)

Strangely, I really like regular Budweiser, which is universally regarded as piss, but I won't even look at Bud Light.

 

Other than that, I'm always partial to Labatt's Blue and Corona.

I don't get the Bud hatred. It's a nice, casual beer, good to have when eating pizza or whatnot. I choose to not get wasted on it, however.

I dunno. I never really cho0ose to drink the Bud but sometimes it's the best choice out of a bad lot. Bud Light over PBR? I don't know about that, but drinking Golden Anniversary (otherwise known as Golden Anus) is pretty rough.

 

I actually kinda like the Olde E. It's less rough the next morning than most other 40's. It bugs me, though, for as good as it is, there is nothing demonstrably "Olde," "English," or even "800" about it.

Ah, nice to see that someone else has made a drunken scene at the Hofbrauhaus. You know you're noisy when the Hofbrauhaus tells you to keep it down...

 

I'm still in search of some Canadian beer in stores down here in Houston that doesn't involve the words "Blue" or "Moosehead". In lieu of that, I've settled on Shiner Bock as my default beer of choice...

Natural Light the official cheap beer of Texas, this is what you get when you are low on funds and just want to get waisted. Pearl and Lonestar are the last resorts if you don't have enough money for Natural.

 

I prefer dark beers like Sam Adams or any beer with Bock in its name like Shiner Bock, Ziegin Bock

I used to drink Canadian exclusively until I got screwed around at a Molson event. Now I've moved on to Alexander's Keiths and Sleemans.

Good, now you can try some good cerveza. Carta Blanca is the bomb and anything with the word "Modelo" is probably good.

I'd try authentic mexican beer but I don't feel like getting shot for being the only white guy in the Mexican liquor store in New Brunswick, NJ.

 

It's not in the best of neighborhoods.

 

And yeah, I'm sort of a girl when it comes to my drinking. I have been known to enjoy a good Strawberry Margarita.

It's OK. I'm seasonal in my drinking, usually beer & whiskey when it's warm and mixed drinks when it's cold. Sometimes I go on a real tear with 'girl drinks.' The bartenders at the bar I bounce at are real good at making me drinks when I order by color. 'Make me a green one!' I command. 'Make me an orange one, like last time!'

 

Note: I do not recommend the 'Bloody Midori.' It's either a Midori Sour with Bloody mix in place of the sour or a Bloody Mary with Midori instead of vodka, depending on how you look at it. I drank one once. Never again.

 

Right now I'm drinking a Kirin Ichiban 'Special Premium Reserve.' It makes me want to watch old Tenryu matches.

My favorites are: Newcastle, St. Pauli Girl, Hefenwiezen(Pyramid) and the Beck's keg. I can settle for Heinekin though, but 90% of american beer, I just hate with a passion, tastes like piss.
