Here is a hindsight irony. Watchign Royal Rumble 91 Where Hulk Hogan is nearly over the top rope several times and he gets saved. and Who Saves him..... Shane Douglas. There is your moment of Irony.

Oh Come on, no one remembers anything in Wrestling history that would be ironic today????

give you a current one, Last Raw Benoit tagged with the nWo in the main event... And every time before he was enemies with the nWo for 6 years.

HHH's favorite all-time wrestler is Ric Flair...Shane Douglas, whose "Franchise" gimmick was the forerunner to HHH's "The Game," absolutely despises Ric Flair...

Plus, Douglas and HHH are so much alike. They both main-evented companies where they had backstage pull, and once they got severely injured (Douglas with his elbow injury, HHH with his torn quad), neither man was ever the same.

Vince McMahon saying that the WW(F)E's success in the mid-80's and late 90's was due to his taking wrestlers who hadn't been given a fair chance elsewhere and turning them into superstars. Oh, and listening to the fans and giving them what they wanted. RVWho?

Yeah, screw those AWA guys, and their holding down of Hogan. Good thing Vince gave that fella a fair chance, eh?

Hmm...I would say the entire concept of Douglas being a Rocker to begin with is pretty ironic, as is King of the Ring '93, as the "death of Hulkamania" line ended up being repeated nine years later.
