Vince gives you the book.

Lets say the ultimate dream came true, Vince gave you the book. You could write it however you wanted. No questions ask.

But would you knowing that then you would become the target of people like the smarks? And everything you do would be horribly scrutinized. Having the book drove Vinne Roo nuts didnt it.

So would you take it if given the shot?

I'd book Heat and Jakked but not Raw, Smackdown, or PPVs, just too much presure to be creative day in and day out.  Look at Heyman, Bicshoff, Russo, and Vince, all of them lost it.  The secondary shows would be fun, just throw whoever they give you out their and let them wrestle and run small, symplistic old style angles.

I would take the whole deal.

I know I'm more creative than Bischoff, and Russo.

Vince doesn't bother to follow anything through...so he sucks.

Heyman is good with a small roster and not as many big shows...

I'M BETTER THAN THEM ALL!

I'd book myself world champ and have an angle where Lita and Stacy fight over me.

Sure would.  I'd book a split, try to book a few months in advance, build up strong heels (of both the asshole monster and evil cheater type), never let Stephanie McMahon talk, bring back the piledriver, keep the settling of disputes in the ring, BRING THE VIOLENCE~!, teach the hot chicks how to wrestle without having it look like amateur Mormon clueless lesbian porn, hire a few people to teach diction to the foreigners and hicks so you don't have to worry about giving interviews, teach the less charismatic wrestlers how to do an interview without sounding like an idiot, and keep the crap short but entertaining.

What smark would hate me for that?

I'd do it.

It's not like you always HAVE to be a creative mastermind when writing for Pro Wrestling, after all it's not Shakespeare. If you can write stuff that makes sense and fits together reasonably well, you could get by until your next good idea came to you.

As long as you don't write story lines with the help of a "Mad Lib" book you'd be fine.

It depends on what the rest of the booking team is like.

If they make NO SENSE WHATSOEVER Id blow a gasket.

But yeah..LJ would so run things as best as possible.

No, because I am not a writer and would have no clue what I would be doing.  However, if I was qualified for the job then absolutely I would take it.

I'd take the book, then re-organize the whole structure of booking within the creative team. Have Heyman and Ace more work with the mid-carders. Structure the cruiserweight didvision and let Malenko run it. Then I could spend more time working with the upper-card because basically, I'd have to split time with Vince because there's no way he'd let anyone take full control of the upper-card. Then I could overview everything.

I'd probably also suck up to Vince as much as humanly possible to get in his ear, because once your there...

Hey Repo Man,  When you get the book can I be Euro champ? I am Danish if that helps. Or maybe you'd consider making me Commissioner?

I like your plan to put theworld strap on yourelf and have Lita and Stacy fight over you. My kind of thinking.

I would take the job quickly. If I was the booker, I would get a lot of heat because I wouldn't book Benoit as champion the first night. I would drool over the talent roster the WWF has. I would tell Vince to split the company, and I would only book Raw & Heat. With 80% wrestling, 20% Sports Entertainment (A little of both). While Vince lets Steph or whoever book the other side.

Of course. It would be my duty to keep Stephanie off tv for the good of the nation. And make Hogan job to...everyone, actually.

There's no way I'd be able to, simply because of the WWF's convoluted history lacking continuity. And there's no way I'd be able to write for Dwayne Johnson. Ugh.

But yeah, maybe booking the lesser shows is a good idea. Write for the lower card. That'd be cool.

I have this odd feeling I'd last about two weeks.

First Raw:  La Parka returns and cracks WWF Champion Chris Jericho in the head with a chair.  Shannon Moore, Shane Helms, Mr. Perfect, Booker T, Chris Jericho/Lance Storm, and others wrestle matches.

First Smackdown:  La Parka defeats HHH.  La Parka beats the crap out of Jericho... Again

Wrestlemania:  A three hour show featuring La Parka winning the World Title.

Wait, fuck two weeks.  I'd be gone after that.

I would book the main event scene to revolve around what the marks

want to see. If this happens to coincide with good wrestling then fine

but the important part of the main is to draw fans. I would then try

to have at least one good match or two on the undercard. There's

so much talent concentrated in the WWF right now, why not have

a 15 minute Tajiri vs Helms match? Let the talented undercarders do

their thing and they'll get over with the marks too, especially if they're involved in a good storyline, like Malenko vs Jericho in WCW.

I would keep title changes on TV to a bare minimum and would have long title reigns. If the titles are meaningless why even have them? Either reduce the number of titles or have long title reigns. As for screwjobs, I'd certainly have them in the important matches but not in the workrate matches involving cruiserweights and the like.

On the "entertainment" side, the TV shows need to be unpredictable and interesting while also avoiding cheap Russo swerves. This is a difficult balance to maintain and I am not sure how I would go about it. Probably concentrating on characters and substance over cheap ratings ploys is more the key to stability, given that WCW moved to a more sportz entertainment direction in 2000 while WWF moved to wrestling and WWF still dominated by a large margin. Crash TV in itself doesn't interest fans, it's the characters.

Finally, I would move Jericho back down to undercard. Even with the

extended undisputed world title reign, I don't think he's quite credible enough to headline shows, and WWF must agree because he's been doing

far more undercard work than headlining these days. The undercard also needs the likes of Jericho to boost its own sagging credibility. Benoit, Jericho, RVD, Booker T, Tajiri, etc. would be a wonderful IC division for keeping the rest of the show entertaining before the awful Hogan main events. Separating the crap workers from good workers is the

key. Let RVD and Benoit have good matches while Hogan and Rock do

sports entertainment and all will be happy.

Hell yeah. I'd do it.

I'd overbook every single match, just because I could.

Then I'd tell females they could have the Women's Championship for sexual favours.

I would let people bribe me!

I would become rich!
