Did anyone else see Reign of Fire?

I was really hyped for the movie, and although it didn't meet my expectations, I still had a good time. I'd call it the first truly entertaining "popcorn" movie of the summer. I would have liked to see the Dragons destruction of the world, rather than skip ahead "20 year later" but I guess they didn't have the budget. The poster is misleading, showing multiple dragons fighting helicopters, which NEVER happens. The dragons themselves looked good, and the skydiving scene was cool. McConaughey was GREAT in his over the top performance.

Anyway, it gets an easy thumbs up from me, but I would have enjoyed it more if it had a little more intelligence.

I dug the movie. I was actually surprised at how fast the movie seemed to be. As it ended I thought only an hour had gone by, but the time was nearly double that.

Easy thumbs up, good movie to just go, watch and enjoy without having to think to much.

I also enjoyed this movie, but I agree with the original thread starter... it would have been nice to see the dragons tearing shit up instead of just jumping 20 yrs ahead. It would have been nice to see more of the dragons, period. But, aside from that, the movie was cool, and I enjoyed it.

Dragons are just cool.

A nice popcorn movie filled with some great action scenes and a Matthew McConaughey was great as the bad ass American soldier. One of the best action movies of this summer.

It was cool, the dragon scenes were very visually impressive. Not too plot heavy, nice fast pace... good summer movie.

The movie was cool.It met my expectations. The dragon scenes were fucking awesome, but the movie was a bit too short.I like movies that are 2 hr. +.The one thing I didn't get was the thing with the egg.You know, when they killed the female dragon (after the great sky diving scene),what happend to the egg Quin(sp?) found inside of her?

Nothing. The female is supposed to lay the eggs, then the male comes along and fertilizes it. Since it was still in her, it hadn't been fertilized.
