Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 14, 2002 The original plan with my friends was to catch a late matinee of Reign of Fire, then get a late show of Road to Perdition. I was just going to see Reign of Fire because I had NO interest to see Perdition. However, I got stuck working a few extra hours at work (and by stuck, I mean requesting the hours before any of the previous plans were brought to my attention). My request for the plans to flip flop (Matinee of RtP, late RoF show) fell on deaf ears, so I reluctently saw Road to Perdition... ...and I actually ended up really enjoying it. I think that it's probably a shoe-in to be nominated at the Oscars, and I wouldn't be mistaken if I said Paul Newman probably has that Supporting Actor award already in his pocket. It was well writen, well acted (something I didn't even think Hanks could do in a movie like this) and well directed. It was paced well (I was expecting it to drag... but it really didn't) and... well, just 10 times better then I thought it would be. Anyone else?
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted July 15, 2002 I thought it was decent (my girlfriend LOVED it). The movie looked great, but I found it predictable and quite slow at times. Excellent acting and cinematography.
