Why do so many radio hosts have annoying voices?!

Seems everywhere you turn your radio dial these days, no matter where you wind up you'll get a DJ or a talk show host with an insanely annoying voice. Let's see, we have...

 

from WFAN in New York Steve Sommers, not only will this guy put the Mets over the Yankees in every sentence he ever speaks, and obviously pro Met callers praise him. That's not the worst part, oh no. He has the worst lisp in the history of the world. A typical sentence of Sommers, lets say, after the Yankees lose to Seattle on the last day of the season and the Mets beat Pittsburgh, "The...uhhhh....New York Metropolitans proved today, on this...ehhh....final day of the uhhh....baseball season that they...ehhhh....are the dominant New York....uhhh....baseball franchise and uhhh....they Yankees are going to lose in the playoffs!!"

 

also from WFAN, we have co-host of the Mike and the Mad Dog show, Chris "Mad Dog" Russo. Not only do he and his partner in radio crime, Mike Francesa, not let callers get thier own view in on the show, this guy is annoying as all hell. He has a high pitched voice, bad enough. But he has that r/l/w retardedness where he mixes them up. "Prablee, duh Yankees are gunna get Rauuuul Mondesi from Teronto fer nothing. It's a disgrace!!!! Jeeeeeees! Awwwll the Yankees cawwwllersss are so annoying. You don't see my San Fransisco Giantsss makings all thesssse movesss. It's a disgrace!!!!! Jeeeees!!! We'll see what happensss when he gets here on Thurssssdee"

 

again from WFAN is overnight man Joe Beningo. The guy just has an annoying as all hell New York accent. "The New Yauwk Mets aah duh best team in duh world but dis yeah they ah baad. Footbawl season can't come faaest enuf fuh Met fans dis yeah."

 

ever hear WABC's Matt Drudge? The guy, again, has an annoying as all hell voice, not to mention all he does is read from the newspaper and pause about 30 seconds in between sentences.
