Guest TheBlurricane Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I'm all in favor of a new Hardcore belt, but what's with the Texas flag and Horns on the belt? I know Bradshaw's from TX and so am I, but that belt was just weird. Hey and it's nice to see Johnny the Bull, what are your thoughts on the Bull?

I heard they changed it on last week's Smackdown tapings. The Bull made an appearance on Heat just recently. He wrestled Tommy Dreamer actually. He came out to this cliche Italian music. If this had been the old days of the WWF, he probably would have been singing "Volare!" or "O solo mio!" jester
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 16, 2002 he has no business being on RAW, I would of prefered seeing Big Vito or O'Haire. All Johnny has is the stupid catch phrase "Fer Git Bout It" there has to be better talent from OVW or HWA, that could of gotten tv time, but Johnny gets 15 secs to kiss ass to Bischoff instead. Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I can't believe Johnny The Bull got tv time, but Kanyon is still in OVW.
Guest TheBlurricane Report post Posted July 16, 2002 You bring up good points. Kanyon and O'Haire are in OVW while half of OVW is now on Smackdown getting mixed reactions. What is this world coming to?
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I believe that the Texas flag on the belt is a sticker, ala Lance Storm's Canadian flag stick on the old WCW US title. The horns are a new addition though....I hope he doesn't go and hit an opponent with it. Dames
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 16, 2002 O'haire isn't in OVW anymore. He has been on Sunday Night Heat the last couple of weeks and he actually has theme music by a real band now, a name for his finisher, and he has been winning. It looks like they are going to push him soon.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted July 16, 2002 O'Haire was on Heat recently and I was under the impression that Kanyon was off tv because he was injured.

Guest alfdogg Report post Posted July 16, 2002 There's nothing wrong with Shawn O'Haire. I never saw enough of JTB to give my thoughts on him.

Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Yeah, because ANYONE can look like a scary motherfucker, and hit a better swanton then Jeff Hardy... At about 6'6", 290.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Yeah, because ANYONE can look like a scary motherfucker, Well, then if that's what you need to be a good wrestler, push ALBERT. and hit a better swanton then Jeff Hardy... At about 6'6", 290. I've never been a Swanton mark. It's a fucking front flip.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I've never been a Swanton mark. It's a fucking front flip. Angle could probably do it, but he would end up breaking his opponents arm.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I have the same attitude thus far to WWE Johnny the Bull and O'Haire: blah. These two rocked in WCW; Johnny was a great brawler, and his hardcore stuff with Terry Funk was the best thing the WCW division ever saw. O'Haire was and, from the looks of it, still is the perfect tag wrestler, as he's a bit green for a singles run, but has a great look and sure has a presence. The problem is that their styles seemed to be trimmed down, and they're falling into the same patterns as Batista, Orton, Stasiak...anyone who's appeared/reappeared in the last few months and not yet developed any particular unique ring qualities. In the two Heat matches I've seen O'Haire wrestle, he's been moving slowly and not going up top at all. This is a guy who can legit do the "big guy who moves like a cruiserweight" thing, so let him do it, man. I admit that he has a decent safe Death Valley Driver, but right now he's all sidekicks and nasty clotheslines. He and Batista would make a nice, scary-looking, boring tag team, now that I think about it.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Why did O'Haire get sent down to OVW in the first place? Anyway, about the new Hardcore belt, does this mean that Bradshaw will be holding onto the belt for a while? I hope not, although I did like him coming out of nowhere for the clothesline to get the title back. That was the first "24/7" segment I've liked in a long time. Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I said it in the OAORT...it's now the Sweetwater Hardcore Invitational Title. And you couldn't ask for a better holder of that title than Bradshaw.
Guest BobbyWhioux Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Sweetwater Hardcore Invitational Title. Heh. :-) Weird. I found it amusing when Storm customized his hardcore title. And now I find it significantly less than amusing when Bradshaw does the same thing. Double Standard? Nah, Bradshaw just plain doesn't entertain me.
Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 16, 2002 You bring up good points. Kanyon and O'Haire are in OVW while half of OVW is now on Smackdown getting mixed reactions. What is this world coming to? O'Haire is on Heat. Kanyon is in OVW getting some ring time because he just came off of an injury. Johnny hasn't exactly been sitting at home either. Jeez, some of you people sound a little bitter towards "The Bull.."
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Bitter towards Johnny Da Bull? Has he done anything exciting to discuss about lately? Johnny Da Bull is your basic Vanilla Gorilla let's all oh and ah at his big muscles and one catch phrase. credit whoever came up with the Vanilla Gorilla name for it should be the new name for the WWE Natural Born Thrillers that came up from OVW and/or worked in WCW. Guest DrEvil Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I'll be glad if they have scrapped that old broken up duct tape p.o.s., but that new one looks like shit from what I could see. Bull Horns??? what were they thinking. If they wanted to turn it into the Texas Championship, because all tough hardcore guys are from Texas, they should have had Bradshaw come out and do it like Storm did for the Canadian Championship. Guest Redhawk Report post Posted July 16, 2002 As long as they got rid of that old broken-up piece of crap belt, I really don't care what the Hardcore belt looks like. And Bradshaw can keep it for the rest of his life for all I care. At least if he keeps it they'll stop using it to ruin the new guys who come in and feel as if they have to fight for the lowest belt in the company to get over (Tazz, Saturn, Mike Awesome, Raven, Rhyno, etc.)
Guest Prince Paul Report post Posted July 16, 2002 They should bring in Sal Sincere and he and JTB can form an italian stable!!!!!
Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I was thinking (I mentioned this in a Heat thread earlier this week) that the Hardcore title could become "regional".. say if whatever wrestler wins it, takes it "to his region." If Raven wins it, it becomes the Jersey Hardcore Championship and they replace the sticker. If Matt Hardy won it, it'd become the Carolina Hardcore Championship, and so-on. For title history purposes it would still be just the Hardcore Championship.. I dunno, if they're gonna be all lame with this belt and give us no explanation, they might as well do something INTERESTING with it..
