Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I saw Men in Black 2 last week and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I was never a huge fan of the original, but aside from the villainess, absolutely NOTHING new was added for the sequel - no new characters (Jay's love interest doesn't really appear enough to count), and there was nothing that couldn't be found in your average episode of "Men in Black - the cartoon series". I enjoyed the "TV show intro" and CG-cartoon that preceded the film more than the rest of the film itself. I guess it wasn't really truly awful like other movies I don't like, I just expected so much more, and got absolutely nothing that hadn't been done before. Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I thought it was a crappy, lazy, cash in sequel. In no way was it even comparable to MiB 1. It had a couple of funny scenes, that was it. The F/X were lousy, the story was stupid and didn't make any sense (they didn't even try to have the story make sense), the talking dog got tiresome after about 2 minutes and the "role reversal" thing between Jones and Smith was the only fresh thing they could add to make it "unique".
