Question About WCW Videos

I have some questions about the availability of WCW shows.

#1  Were the first two SOULED OUTs released on video?  I have never seen a domestic copy of SOULED OUT 97 or 98, the latter of which puzzles me, as I've seen everything else released around that time.

#2  I know BATB 00 was never put on video because of the Hogan situation, but were any subsequent shows put on video?  I've seen NEW BLOOD RISING on video, but I'm wondering if anything else after that was released.

#3  Does anyone know which PPVs in general were never released on video?  The only two I'm certain of are BATB 00 and SUPERBRAWL IV.

Thanks.

1. No. Souled Out '97 & '98 were never release. The only ones released are '99 & 2000.

2. Bash at the Beach 2000 was released on home video. I've seen it on eBay. Don't know if the Russo/Hogan stuff was edited out.

3. The Great American Bash '98 was never released on video.

BATB 2000 was put out on video, I've only seen it at one place, along with all the other WCW 2000 videos for rent. The Hogan/Russo stuff wasn't edited out.

I never remember hearing if Superbrawl IV & Souled Out '98 were released. They could of been. If they are, then they must be very rare.

Superbrawl IV was NEVER released so i dont know where your people are seeing these things besides maybe dubbed copies of the show

I know as a fact that WCW SuperBrawl IV was never release but I don't know if WCW Souled Out 1998 was ever released on video, but I would have to say no.

Thanks.

SuperBrawl IV, Souled Out 1997 & 1998, and Spring

Stampede 1998, and Great American Bash 1998 were never

released on home video. The only thing I can think of is that

some of you people are getting dubbed copies being sold as

the home video.

That is a pretty funny idea to sell tapes as the Home Video versions and you cut stuff out to make it like a Turner Video.HAHA!!!

Thanks.

I just want to know why they'd release a home video version of Halloween Havoc 98 that cut out three of the matches but kept the 45 minutes of Nitro Girls and Konnan videos intact.  Granted, the matches they cut wre very bad, but I'd still rather see Wrath-Meng than that Konnan video.  Ugh.  As far as BATB 2000 goes, even if the Russo-Hogan stuff is still there, it's probably bleeped out anyway (my biggest pet peeve of WCW videos in the AOL Time Warner era).

The thing that pisses me off about looking at a wrestling section in a video store is that I can't find any WCW videos. It's probably because WWF now owns WCW and NWA footage. I hope the executives at WWF Home Video get off their lazy asses and start releasing some WCW videos and re-release some old Coliseum Videos. Another thing that makes me mad is that on most of the old Turner Home Entertainment versions of WCW PPVs was that they clipped an hour of footage from the original PPV.

I always thought that the SNME and COTC should have been released on video. WWE should re-release the best of the wwf series from the 80s.

WCW videos have been dwindling for a while and most blockbusters are selling them. all the independent chains in my area carry wcw videos and alot of nwa videos.

WCW released the first 5 COTC on video in the late '80s. The WWE only released two "Best of" SNME.

Back in the day, my local Blockbuster had a lot of the Mid-Atlantic stuff with tons of WWF videos. I never saw a WCW video from the late '80s/early '90s.

My closest video store still has the Beach Blast from '93 with the MASTERS OF THE POWERBOMB and all of their shenanigans. I need to rent it one day before it disappears.

Shockingly, I have found a video store in my town that has more WCW videos than WWF ones. Unfortunately, outside of Spring Stampede '99, none of them appear to be worth checking out.

I also hope that the WWE release some old WCW PPV's. Here in the UK you can't get any of them anymore because thay have all been deleted. If you look around you can normally find some but they are all from around 2000 (Souled Out - Slamboree). Mind you we got a pretty crappy deal with WCW anyway. We got them from around 1990 - 1993 and then they stopped with Fall Brawl, then in 1997 they were released until 1998 by mail order only and then of course we got the crappy tapes from 2000. Actually WWE did release a WCW video over here called WCW: The best of the 1990's. It was an old tape for subscribers of WCW Magazine hosted by Ric Flair and Tony S. It only cost £2.99 and had stuff like Flair vs. Vader from Starrcade 1993 (clipped mind you!) on it.
