Guest Dmann2000 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to matches on the numerous Coliseum videos that are hidden gems. The match that instigated this can be found on Grudges, Gripes and Grunts and is the phenominal Tag match. I'm sure you all know what I mean.....of course the Mega Maniacs vs The Beverly Brothers. Seriously I mean Randy Savage/Bret Hart vs Ric Flair/Shawn Michaels. This match almost makes me wish that Flair had formed a WWF Horsemen, starting by taking Shawn under his wing and rounding the team out with Money Inc. I think as far as WWF 1992 goes, that would be an effective 4 Horsemen. But back to my topic, what matches do you think on the numerous Colliseum videos (going all the way back) are Hidden gems, ****+ affairs.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 LOD/Hart Foundation (Wrestlefest 91) Bret/Flair (InVasion 92) Shawn/Flair (InVasion 92) Steiners/Harts (Wrestlefest 94)
Guest bob_barron Posted July 16, 2002 Report Posted July 16, 2002 HBK v. Dibase- Hottest Matches HBK/Diesel v. 1-2-3/Razor Bret/DBS v. Anvil/Owen Perfect v. Flair Agreed on the other picks except I would'nt give LOD v. Hart Foundation ****

Guest Grenouille Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 Bret Hart VS Ricky Steamboat-(Hart Foundation)
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 Bret Hart vs. Ted DiBiase from Best of WWF Volume 19 --- Energetic crowd, Great Action, and "Tremendous Camerawork" (Sorry Alfred) make this video worthwhile in itself.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 Check out Jake Roberts vs. Randy Savage from Supertape '92.
Guest fairtoflair7 Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 All of these should be added to the Coliseum comp; whoever is maiking it. Some of the top of my head Rockers vs. Brainbusters (More SNME) 4-5*'s I've seen many opinions Savage vs. Hogan (Best of the WWF vol. 6)- This is not 4 *'s but its very entertaining and its the 1st match between them. I'd say its3 *'s. VIrgil vs. Savage (High Flyers)- Also not 4 stars but very entertaining and its a very underated match. Dibiase is at his best. Hart Foundation vs. Strike Force (Best of the WWF vol. 15)- Great match on Superstars where Strike Force wins the titles Hart Foundation vs. Rogeaus (Best of the WWF vol.20)- Fun Match, not 4*'s but it great when Blubber Love is Hart Attacked as well as when he screws Bret
Guest bob_barron Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 Oh yea- Bret v. Steamer is awesome. I have Supertape 92 and while the match may not be **** the whole segment is awesomeriffic
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 17, 2002 Report Posted July 17, 2002 VIrgil vs. Savage (High Flyers)- Also not 4 stars but very entertaining and its a very underated match. Dibiase is at his best. i always liked this match too. virgil sucked in the ring but the antic of dibiase outside the ring were awesome. i always loved when he tried to buy elizabeth during matches.
Guest AxelSmash Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Jannetty/Michaels -prime cuts Steiners/Quebecers-ALSO prime cuts
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I just saw the Quebecer/Steiner match today. Good match. and Johnny Polo! only problem: shitty ending. But, the Steiners must have been wasted when they signed that, right?
Guest Grenouille Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Bret Hart VS Steve Austin-World Tour 1996
Guest Black Tiger Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Piper/JYD/Steamboat vs Savage/Race/Adonis. Slick on Color is funny as hell as he goes off about how JYD can't read or write and Ricky Steamboat has no class Best of WWF Vol. 11 Hulk Hogan vs David Schultz. Very bloody brawl, Hulkamania 1 Bret Hart vs Dynamite Kid, a true classic, The British Bulldogs Ricky Steamboat vs Magnificant Muraco, Steamboat basicly kicks his ass for ten minutes, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat Bret Hart vs Rick Martel from a Prime Time in 1992, on Bashed in the USA.
Guest thefrenchargel Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 The Kliq EXPLODES~! from that Action Zone.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Thats Kid/Razor v. Diesel/HBK on Slamfest
Guest kingkamala Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Shawn Michaels Vs Ted DiBiase on WWF's Hottest matches 1990 I have it rated at about **** for the actual match but I add 1/4* cause the crowd is hot through out the match. Also I believe the Bam Bam Bigelow Vs Bret Hart match on Global Warfare 93 is just as good as there match at King of the Ring 93 if not better. Not a **** match but still a very solid match in my opinion (***1/4 maybe ***1/2)
Guest Karnage Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Yokozuna's best match was against Bret in a cage on the Inside the WWF video.
