Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted July 16, 2002 How many reports of HHH being a problem backstage will it take for his defenders to finally figure out he's a cancer and doesn't care about anyone but himself.
Guest caboose Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Well the obvious idea is to fire Triple H. But the Vince loves Steph, who loves Triple H thing has been well documented. Undertaker is not doing the job of controlling Triple H like Austin did. The moment Hogan gets political, Triple H will make sure he is gone. That leaves Rocky as the last man standing. Vince loves his daughter almost as much as he loves money. Depite the crap rating SmackDown did, Rocky still = Money. So Vince will bend over backwards for Rocky. But Rocky wants to be a filmstar. This all means Rocky is around about 4 months a year. What does all this equal, from top to bottom? WELCOME TO THE TRIPLE H SHOW. WE'LL TAKE YOU ON A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE AS MR. LEVESQUE BURIES US ALL. Sorry to be so cynical, but it'd true. P.S. I wish Kurt could become a big time political player.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 16, 2002 I don't think that is fair to say he loves Stephanie ALMOST as much as money. Vince may not be the best human being on earth, but I'm sure Shane and Stephanie are the most important things in the world to him.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 16, 2002 In other news, Jesus people, shut up already. I come home from work and think to myself "I'll see what people are saying about RAW," but instead I find, seriously, 7 or 8 threads talking about how much HHH is the devil. I DON'T CARE. TALK ABOUT WRESTLING. WE GET THE POINT. Well, shit, are we allowed to talk about HHH without having to kiss his ass? You don't like him getting heat, we get that point as well. Get over it. You sure as hell are! Go right ahead! But the entire first page of this board is FILLED with topics on this. Just try to condense it. Personally, I don't give a shit about HHH one way or another. I actually forgot that he was on the product the other day when I was thinking about the top guys on the roster. I don't care if he "gets heat" or whatever. My point is that this board is becoming overwhelmed with repetitive bitching again and again. Do we really need a new topic every time someone comes out with a report saying "A wrestler told Dave Meltzer that he didn't like HHH, because HHH hasn't been acting properly backstage," or "HHH has sometimes sat in on the booking committee meetings"? No, we really don't.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted July 16, 2002 Did people like Flair and the Undertaker really have to sit and listen to Hunter talk down to them? I was wondering the same thing
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted July 17, 2002 *sighs* Why doesn't this bit of info (if true) surprise me...

No, we really don't. *ahem* That's why people DON'T like to come to the WWE folder. They get tired of it, so they don't come. No use trying to stop the threads of the like because it's not going to happen. Even as a HHHater myself it DOES get repetitive, but eh... I don't like HHH either way so it doesn't really matter. Not like the info of the stuff HHH is doing is surprising to me..
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Taker is the only wrestler respected enough to stand up to HHH and tell him that he's full of shit. Unfortunately, he is a big fan of HHH's dedication to the business. If you've ever seen his DVD, he goes as far as to call HHH the next Undertaker.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 17, 2002 he goes as far as to call HHH the next Undertaker. I'm sure that was meant as a complement.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Yep, unfortunately it was. It would be so cool to read the boards one day and see the headline, "Undertaker knocks HHH out at production meeting".
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Is Taker allowed at production meetings?
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Probably not. Yet X-Pac was...
Guest Cactus Clothesline Report post Posted July 17, 2002 This thread is stupid. Don't you people understand that Hunter has a superior MIND FOR THE BUSINESS. Thank God he's been around to do stuff like stopping Brock's ridiculous TKO endings and keeping Cena from touching Mr. McMahon. He just needs to realize this little detail that his opponents should look credible and everything will be fine just fine.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 If he's got a superior mind for the business, then maybe he should retire and become a road agent. Because as one the boys, it's not his job or his right to veto shit.

Guest jester Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Don't you people understand that Hunter has a superior MIND FOR THE BUSINESS. Thank God he's been around to do stuff like stopping Brock's ridiculous TKO endings and keeping Cena from touching Mr. McMahon. Are you being serious? If HHH has a better mind for the business, then why didn't he put a stop to the whole Lucy/Stephanie/Jericho angle? Someone pointed out on this board (sorry, I forget who), that whole angle made HHH look bad too. A credible face has to beat a credible heel, and Jericho didn't exactly look all evil and menacing running around looking for lotion or lubricant or whatever it was for Stephanie. jester
Guest Cactus Clothesline Report post Posted July 17, 2002 My guess is that Hunter thought the Lucy angle was a stupid as everyone else but it was Steph's idea and he's pussy-whipped (not that I blame the guy). He's not gonna do anything to risk his trump card / meal ticket. To answer AS's questions: 1) He cares because he's pure evil and holding everyone down!!!! Two dumb angles were scrapped - who does it matter who scrapped them? The sooner you realize and accept that Hunter is more in the WWE than a "wrestler" the better off you'll be. 2) If a rookie with no true value to the WWE in the storylines hits Vince why wouldn't Vince just fire / demote his ass - build him up more first. You want to see "that Typewriter guy" get destroyed by Angle but he should be punking Vince? Okay.
Guest Angle is Wrestling Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Who wants to bet they'll show HHH's speech on Confidential who try and make HHH out as the savior of the WWE, the man that gathers them all around and rallies the troops to get the WWE back on it's feet and set everyone straight. I've got 20 bucks saying they do.

I think what everyone means is that sure..having Cena slap Vince might have been stupid, but who the hell is HHH to veto it? Why the fuck should HHH have any power? Why should he be concerned with an angle he's not involved in. It's not about what happened or what didn't happen, it's about why it didn't or did happen. Personally, I'd much rather see Cena slapping Vince, no matter how stupid it is, than not seeing it and knowing HHH is the reason I didn't see it.
Guest Cactus Clothesline Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Man,"smart" marks are just as bad as marks it's just the other extreme. You're a "mark" for the backstage shit. It's like politics; all the way to the right is no good and all the way to the left is no good - you gotta be moderate - there's good and bad to both sides. The only "power" Hunter has is the power of persuasion. I say if Vince is gullible enough to do any and everything that Trips and/or Steph suggest then more power to Trips and Steph and there should be a lame club called the Vincehaters. BRING BACK THE FACGIME~!!!!!
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Some irony about HHH... The guy has done a total 180 from what he was a couple of years ago, in terms of personality. Watch the MTV doc, and you'll see Hunter as humble, respectful, hardworking and dedicated to Chyna. Hell, listen to the lyrics of "Our Time," which was a song basically about how HE was held down, and a diatribe about WWF political bullshit. He's become what his original character hated. Amazing what powerful pussy can do to a man.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 The funny thing is that he plays up that humble, rags to riches personality in his new DVD. He even puts over Chris Jericho. What a phony bastard.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 17, 2002 well at leastr on his DVD HHH had good taste in favorite match, although his REAL favorite is probably when hogan and savage went over 8 people
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 17, 2002 I disagree with the Rock point. People, despite still seeing the Rock as a nice and all-around good guy, won't clamor around him because they know he won't always be there for him. The fact is that as Steph becomes less confident in her own work, she'll be going to Triple H for suggestions.

I say if Vince is gullible enough to do any and everything that Trips and/or Steph suggest then more power to Trips and Steph and there should be a lame club called the Vincehaters" Unfortunately no one is going to listen to you except a handful of posters. I've tried and failed. No one here wants to hold Vince accountable. Don't know what it is. Some blind allegiance to him or something. But no one wants to get at a man who can stop ANY AND ALL BACKSTAGE POLITICS!! But what do I know. I just try to keep some sane talk around here and not scare away potential posters who may have something other than "HHH is fucking up the WWE. If it wasn't for him WWE would be perfect" talk. Guest Brian Report post Posted July 17, 2002 But that's only part of the problem. He has a higher form of persuasion than any form of these politickers before him. He's got the daughter, the head booker, who as ratings fall becomes less confident in her own work and goes to him for suggestions (Torch). Do you think that's a coincidence?
