Why the WWE needs some Bischoff logic right now...

IMO, the major reason that the WCW/ECW Alliance angle and the nWo angle failed is that Vince McMahon has always been deathly afraid of heavily pushing something or somebody that he didn't create. Vince didn't create ECW, he didn't create WCW, and he didn't create the nWo...so all three factions were pretty much doomed from the start. How can you have a credible "invasion" when the invaders are jobbed out (WCW/ECW) or made to look like a joke (nWo)? All Vince had to do was to sit down and watch that WCW library that he bought last year to learn how to do the nWo angle correctly. Jesus Christ, it was practically blue-printed for him! Instead, the nWo dominates for all of three shows, and then all three of them are running in fear from one redneck with a tire iron.

 

This is common sense: when you introduce a stable with vignettes that features ominous music and scenes of mass carnage, and you tag them with adjectives such as "lethal poison", and you build them up by saying that not a single WWE superstar will be left on the nWo "killing field"...then you let them dominate, at least for a while. You don't have them be dominated by one f'n wrestler!

 

To Eric Bischoff's credit, he doesn't have Vince McMahon's bias. Hell, the reason that the original nWo worked is that he let guys from a rival company come in and dominate his home-grown talent.

 

That's why the WWE needs some Bischoff logic right now. Forget about who came from where, just push the people with talent. It's not that hard, and I don't see why Vince McMahon is so threatened by talent that comes from WCW or ECW.
