Guest Army Eye Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Pleeease bring back the Jimi. No entrance is better than Hollywood playing air guitar to Voodoo Child
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Actually it was "Voodoo Chile" but that's aight.
Guest joshicho Report post Posted February 19, 2002 What music are they using a the moment cos I'm not sure of the names?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Right now, all nWo members are using the original nWo porno music from WCW. Hogan NEEDS "Voodoo Chile". Vince pays money to use crappy music, now pay money to get this one.
Guest Tolwyn Report post Posted February 19, 2002 U can say much about Hogan...But his entrances always rocked! especially Voodoo Chile!
Guest LowSparkOfHighHeeledBoys Report post Posted February 19, 2002 oh, god...as a Hendrix fan, I'd have to say use the nwo porno track...leave the Hendrix track alone, please. Jimi didnt do anything bad enough to deserve Hogan using his song as theme music.
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 19, 2002 It's Voodoo Child, blame your confusion on Mike Tenay & Co.
Guest R2DFooster McSockman Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Even blaming Tenay for lots of people knowing Voodoo Child as Voodoo Chile is unfair. I've seen more than one Hendrix live album/greatest hit collection with it listed as Voodoo Chile, when Voodoo Chile was in fact a 15 minute jam. [edit] - I found this article with more information on the Voodoo Child/Voodoo Chile mixups - http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=X3026041
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 19, 2002 That may be true, but most wrestling fans would know it as such because that's what Tenay & Company referred it to as whenever Hogan came out to the song. Hell, the WCW announce crew sans Tenay called it Voodoo Chile.
Guest Rabies Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Hogan used a "Voodoo Child" remix. Final!!! I have the Electric Ladyland album right right. There's "Voodoo Chile" and "Voodoo Child" on the album and they sound nothing alike. Voodoo CHILD.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Tenay called it Voodoo Chili

C'mon now, Nitro was always better without those jokers pissing you off, you gotta admit.

Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 It's Voodoo Child, blame your confusion on Mike Tenay & Co. Actually, it's not. Look it up. I have the CD, song 8.. Voodoo Chile. Thanks for playing. P.S. Stevie Ray Vaughn also has a version out, guess what. It's called Voodoo Chile as well. Although it is pointless to argue with anyone on this board. Apparently, everyone thinks that their voice is the word of God.
Guest The Shockmaster! Report post Posted February 21, 2002 There is the extrememly long(I think its about 20 minutes)bluesy Voodoo Chile and there is the more uptempo Voodoo Child that Hogan used to use as his entrance music. Its easy enough to get them mistaken though.

I heard him doing a live jam on the radio once, I can't remember the song he was doing but he just broke off into one of his improv guitar solos and busted out the nWo porno track. The song is Voodoo Chile (slight return), never been child, never will. Hogan's Voodoo Chile air guitar entrance is one of the best, only thing is I have to suspend my knowledge of Hogan to appreciate it.

Guest DrEvil Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Ahem. Excellent rebuttal, and you make a strong argument. But I'm going to have to go with the dozens of LP's and CD's I have from Hendrix and SRV that call each version Voodoo Chile.
Guest The Shockmaster! Report post Posted February 22, 2002 You must be reading them wrong. Electric Ladyland has Voodoo Chile and Voodoo Child(Slight Return), they are different songs and Hogan uses Voodoo Child. Like I said its easy enough to get them mixed up but its even easier to just admit I am right.
Guest Rabies Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Here's the track listing for Electric Ladyland, the 2LP album the song originally appeared on : http://www.cdnow.com/cgi-bin....=402601 Now listen to the samples for "Voodoo Chile" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)". This will finally end the debate. The song Hogan used was Voodoo CHILD, and WCW remixed it so the guitar intro was shorter and threw in some nWo voice overs. THERE!!! Guest RickyB Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I said the Jimmi Hendrix music, I prefer the nWo music personally but Hogan's entrance to Voodoo Child/Chillie, whatever music is WAYYY better.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 22, 2002 nWo should come out to the porno music together, Hogan should get Jimi, Nash and Hall should get the Wolfpac music for continuity's sake. If/When Hogan turns face he should use his "Real American" theme.
Guest ])r. ])eath Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I voted for the WCW theme because no one else did. As for the debate on Child or Chile... who gives a fuck? The word Voodoo was misspelled in the poll and no one is bitching about that shit.
Guest Rabies Report post Posted February 22, 2002 "nWo should come out to the porno music together, Hogan should get Jimi, Nash and Hall should get the Wolfpac music for continuity's sake. If/When Hogan turns face he should use his "Real American" theme." I wouldn't mind this for the future, but only farther down the road when the nWo gets more loosely constructed. Right now it would make sense for all of them to come out to nWo Porn because it's all about tight solidarity so early in the nWo/WWF angle.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted February 22, 2002 I love "Real American". It's so wonderfully campy, and whenever I here it, I just have to do Hulk poses. It freaks my roommate out.
