Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 17, 2002 That had to be one of the best, if not greatest tag team match EVER! It's literally 10 minutes of non-stop wrestling and action, all guys look awesome, the crowd is into it, JR/Dusty are into it, and it's an all around awesome match. The finish sucks, but oh well. Still, if you haven't seen it, see it.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 17, 2002 I gave the match ***** in my review. What a classic
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Compare the Luger and Scott Steiner of 1991 to the Luger and Scott Steiner of the past few years and shake your head in disbelief.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 17, 2002 I know- Luger was just awful the last yr of WCW. So sad to watch
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Yeah, but Luger was absolutely priceless when he was teaming with Buff and carrying around the Lex Flexor. He was just naturally hilarious with his constant flexing and his bad acting. He was like WCW's answer to Kurt Angle during that time period. Seriously untapped comedic value. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Totally Buff- God that was so awesome when they jobbed to ther NBT in under a minute. I feel sorry for Luger but fuck Buff
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted July 17, 2002 To be honest, I thought I was the only fan of Luger's insincere promos and cartoonish selling. I remember even low-to-mid carders giving the guy a simple dropkick and hearing Luger bellow "Ohhhhhhhh!!!!" and hit the mat in a seemingly delayed reaction. Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Yeah I actually was entertained by the insincere Luger of WCW's dying days.......and I absolutely HATED HIM before that, especially when he was against the NWO or his Wolfpac stage........awful, just awful.........isn't he banging Liz now? Talk about being last man in...........

Sid powerbombs Pillman- the cage is too low and Sid badly fucks up seriously injuring Pillman for real. He does it AGAIN. El Gigante runs in and gets the ref to stop the match. ****1/2- Awesome match. WarGames rules. Ric Flair v. Mr. Perfect in a loser leaves town match Damn- they managed to put this sucker on at the end. This is from RAW on January 25th, 1993. In 1991 Ric Flair signed with the WWF at the same time Mr. Perfect had to retire to do a back injury. I guess since they wanted Perfect to do something so they made him Flair’s Executive Consultant and he basically just interfered in Flair’s match and was generally a huge dick. Flair and Perfect got way over as heels especially during a hot feud with Savage. In November of 92 Flair and newcomer Razor Ramon were scheduled to take on Warrior and Savage in a big tag match at the Survivor Series. Shortly before the event Warrior left for various reasons leaving Savage without a partner. On an episode of PTW Savage had to pick a partner as the panel that night was Duggan, Vince, Hillbilly Jim, Perfect and Heenan. Just to be a dick Savage picked Perfect as his partner. Brain was all: Uhh no and Perfect was like: What you don’t think I can go? Savage kept encouraging this and at the end of the night Perfect dumped water on the Brain, turned face and announced his comeback, basically leaving his friend Flair. Ric Flair: Well Mean Gene, woooooooo! Of course you know fourteen time world champion, limosine ridin’, jet flying, woooooo!, kiss stealin’, wheelin’ and dealin’, woooo!, son of a gun this Mr. Perfect, wooooo! To be the man, you gotta beat the man!, Perfect- this means war! So Perfect was now the sworn enemy of Razor and Flair and feuded with them. The feud with Flair was so intense, so full of hatred, so by gawd scalded dawg hoss ugly, (man they should’ve saved this for WM) that the WWF was only big enough for one of them and thus we have this- Brain, Barnett and Vince are on commentary. Brain of course is pissed that this match is being made. Perfect smacks him twice and they a stare a hole in each other. Everything is on the line. Lockup- Flair gets headlock and takes him down. Drop toe-hold and Perfect messes with him and Flair bails. Flair goes to talk to Brain. Back in- they trade hammerlocks, Flair drop toe holds him down and Perfect gets a hammerlock. They go into the corner and Flair chops away. Perfect returns the favour. Flair Flop. Both these guys act tentative and scared because of what’s in the line. Flair gets a headlock but Perfect gets scissors. Back to square one. Flair chops away and uses the clench fists. Perfect gives him chops and just nails him. Flair begs off. Flair thumbs the eye and dumps him out. Hebner stops Flair from nailing him with a chair. CLIP! Flair whips Perfect to the outside. Perfect blades. Back in- Flair hammers away and gets whipped and oversells. Flair chinlocks him but uses the ropes. Flair talks to the ref while choking Perfect. Flair chops away but Perfect comes back and nails him and gets a pinfall. Flair goes downstairs and they fight over a backslide. Perfect gets it for two. Perfect gets a backdrop and kicks his ass. Perfect punches him six times in the corner but gets atomic dropped. Flair rolls him up for two. Flair bails. Perfect chops him and suplexes him back in for two. Flair kicks him and hooks a sleeper. Brain is in all his glory. Arm drops twice, not thrice. Perfect breaks the hold and elbows Flair. Perfect gets a sleeper of his own. Brain screams about a chokehold. Flair suplexes him out. Flair gets the figure four and of course he uses the ropes for leverage. Flair gets caught and has to break the hold. Flair works on the leg. Flair goes up top but gets slammed down. Flair channels William Regal nine years in the future or something and uses the power of the punch and Perfect is out. Elbow but Perfect’s foot on the rope. Another cover another nearfall. Brain has a big smile as Flair goes to work on the wound. Flair with a chop and Perfect shakes his head and just tells Flair to go fuck himself. Perfect gets all intense and just chops the shit out of him and of course backdrops him. Flair flip- he runs to the other side comes off top but it fails and Perfect takes him down. Flair lures him onto the corner and tries to pin him with his foot on the rope but it fails. The ref catches him and kicks away. With his last gasp of energy Perfect hooks the PerfectPlex for the win and Flair’s WWF career is over for nine years in a tremendous match. ****1/4 Match ran eighteen minutes. Heenan just unleashes a stream of profanity that gets bleeped out. Too funny. That match was awesome and one of the top matches of 1993.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 17, 2002 i have a copy of superbrawl 1 that i haven't watched yet. i guess i have a good reason too. also to whoever said they were a mark for lex's bad acting, i am too. the best was a kidcam segment with liz and luger that ended up airing a little too long after they thought it was over. i was also a big mark for team package, with luger and flair as a tag team during the new blood era. there was some funny promos there too. Guest Bloodice Report post Posted July 27, 2002 sting & luger vs the steiners was a good match in fact one of my favorite feuds was luger vs sting. It's so sad to see luger the last few years and then think of the luger of the late 80's and early 90's where he fought flair at gab 88 what a great match in baltimore and his matches against barry windham
