Guest What? Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Am I the only one that wants MST3K to be BACK on Comedy Central? I know this sounds selfish, but my Sci-Fi channel always switches channels and CC never does really...forget it Do the DVD's come in any box sets?
Guest M Nyland Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I want it back on CC...cause I don't get Sci-Fi...
Guest El Satanico Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I want it back on CC because i haven't seen CC episodes in forever. Perfection would be it being on CC and Scifi.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 today I watched "I Accuse My Parents" again... "LIAR LIAR LIAR" "...did I tell you about my essay!" "...you've been here two months and you haven't touched your burger..." god I am such a MST3K mark
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 They just had an episode on Sci-Fi with some Raul Julia movie. In my opinion the thing that seperates MST3K from other great shows is that every single episode has so many funny parts that you can stay laughing almost through the whole show.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Over drawn at the memory bank poor Raul Julia
Guest Rock Candy Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Over drawn at the memory bank poor Raul Julia "Mom...my nuts!" -Ben
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 yeah, and his last movie was Street Fighter... ...poor Raul Julia...
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 <----- Check the name! Wooo!
Guest J*ingus Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 ??? Where did this 2000+ poster come from? Never seen him around before. And who are they referring to with that "Amazing Rando" crack, anyway? I thought it might've been Rondo Hatten, but wasn't sure.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 <----- is M Nyland (new name...same post count) and The Amazing Rando....is a reference to the credits of "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie" where Crow and Tom talk about the wonders of "The Amazing Rando!"
Guest Smues Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 East Man, he came out of the east to do battle with the Amazing Rando!
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 leave all the magic in this Thread to The Amazing Rando~!
Guest MDH257 Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 Now they're just crediting people who came by the set one day. "All rights are reserved, Callahan." "Oh yeah, what about the rights of that little girl?"
Guest Kingpk Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 "Come on down to L. Marie Ford, free hot dogs and balloons for Mom."
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 Julie Walker....Texas Ranger! Crow: ...there were no puppets in this movie...
Guest Dmann2000 Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 It was Pod People that hooked me, the 3rd and 4th season were benchmarks for the show. I mean Time of the Apes, Fuitive Alien, Castle of Fu Manchu, Bride of the Monster, of course Manos Love it
Guest Dmann2000 Posted July 25, 2002 Report Posted July 25, 2002 Oh and Cave Dwellers, Space Travellers
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 I was dl'ing a few of the shorts a couple of months ago. Mr. B Natural is so disturbing, everyone should see it. I can't even describe it, so if you haven't already...DL that short.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 yes....Mr. B Natural is quite the disturbing piece
Guest Kingpk Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 I'm shocked they didn't put Mr. B. Natural on one of the "Shorts" tapes.
Guest J*ingus Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 That one always bugged me. Do the MST crew themselves have no input over which shows are released on video? They even said in their book that B. Natural was the most popular short they've ever done.
Guest MDH257 Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 1.)Mr. B Natural was on a tape of Shorts that Best Brains put out themselves, not thorugh Rhino. 2.)I think Rhino decided what episodes came out by a combination of fan demand and what they could get the rights to. 3.) Now of days I'm certain the crew has next to no imput on what Rhino releases. The creative team has moved on and Best Brains is now just 3 people sellling merchandise out of some office space in Minnesota.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 That short with the talking spring is one of my favorites. I always laugh my ass off when i see it. The actual short is funny itself.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 why don't they look? Why dont they look...
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 27, 2002 Report Posted July 27, 2002 Mr. B Natural....now that I have finally watching it all the way through without dying of laugher....is perfection...
Guest Rock Candy Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 That one always bugged me. Do the MST crew themselves have no input over which shows are released on video? They even said in their book that B. Natural was the most popular short they've ever done. Yeah, but once the rights to use the movie elapse, they can't use it in any form, televised or on home video. And then what happens is the owners of the film will demand a much higher fee for use of the movie. My guess is that Best Brains and/or Rhino is probably unwilling to pay millions for a really poor movie. Or they're just waiting for the movies to become public domain, maybe? Unfortunately, you definitely won't see any of the Sandy Frank-produced movies from Season Three released on video-EVER. Frank was reportedly furious at the way they ripped on his movies and him in particular, and all the Gamera movies are completely off limits. -Ben
