Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 I don't know where that card came from...but put it away! I see something like this: Jericho vs. HHH vs. Angle (I think it's a 3 way...cause HHH can't really deliver yet) Rock vs. Hogan Regal vs. Edge vs. RVD vs. Goldust Flair vs. UT As for the other big names... Either Austin vs. Hall and Nash vs ? Or I could see the Outsiders capturing the tag gold before Mania and defending against the APA (Why the hell else would the two big guys win turmoil?) that would leave Austin vs. Angle again...and judging from Raw...that's not too far fetched. There's still some good talent left too... Booker T, DDP, Christian, Storm, Perfect... Probably end up with something like a fatal 4 way for #1 tag contender Dudleys vs. Hardys vs. Storm & Christian vs. Chuck & Billy. You need matches like that to use all the talent. As for Booker and DDP...I don't know, they can wrestle each other. I'm sure Test and Bossman will find there way on the card...and yet Tajiri and Hurricane won't...go figure. Guest Brian Report post Posted February 19, 2002 I still think Jericho/HHH would be much better than a three-way, as that is usually the case. Three-ways are hard to pace because they become one-on-one w/o enough double teaming and cool three-way spots.
Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 I agree that one on one is better... But this is reminisint of Summerslam 99...when they had to add Mankind because Austin couldn't handle one on one. It doesn't seem like HHH can deliver yet. And where is Angle going to go anyway? It gives HHH a way to win the belt and Jericho to keep his heat (by pinning Angle) OR Jericho could retain and HHH can keep his heat (by pinning Angle) Either way...if it's a 3 way...angle aint winning
Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Now that I think of it...I can almost guarantee a battle royal to use everyone they have to get on the card.
Guest mastermind Report post Posted February 19, 2002 How can they put Angle in the main event when he lost last night by clean pinfall? Mcmahon doesn't seem like he will show up until he returns to stop the NWO from killing his creation after he gets some sense in his head. Flair giving Angle another chance? I doubt it! Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 So what does Angle do then. He was a man without a match last year at Mania too...
Guest Brian Report post Posted February 19, 2002 How about a crusierweight battle royal?
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 19, 2002 So what does Angle do then. He was a man without a match last year at Mania too... He faced Benoit last year, I think it was the Ultimate Submissions match, although that may have been at No Way Out that year. It had that killer amateur wrestling stuff to start it off. Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 They had 3 ppv matches in a row (4 if you count Insurextion) The first was a straight match at Mania...which came about because Angle had just lost the title and didn't have an opponent for Mania. Benoit literally came out and said: "I don't have an opponent either" That was it. No backstory. Backlash was the ultimate submission match, and Judgment Day was 2/3 falls for the medals, third fall was the ladder match.
Guest Stupendous Man Report post Posted February 19, 2002 That's right...now I remember.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Hmm...what do they do with Angle now, then? He's been so involved with the main event picture that there really isn't time to set anything else up. I don't think anyone wants to see Austin-Angle again, and Austin's probably going to be tied up with the nWo anyway. Or not. Judging by last night, I'd say Austin-Angle seems fairly probable. I don't know. They're definitely not making it obvious at this point. Most likely because they don't know themselves.
Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Well... I could watch Austin vs. Angle again...odds are it would get match of the night honors. The 2 wild cards are Nash and Angle (as Austin has a program with Hall ready to go) I just hope they don't do something stupid like turn Angle face again...he's getting good heat now. I saw someone else suggest Nash/Kane...and while Kane is the most over available face...I shudder to think of the match itself. I figure they'll plug Angle in the tilte match so he can get pinned...and one way or another...set up Jericho vs. HHH at Backlash.
Guest tazmission86 Report post Posted February 19, 2002 This what will probably happen, although the WWF is doing a good job keeping us guessing: Triple H vs Jericho in the main event. They've put on a ****3/4 match before, and they can do even better now. Hogan vs Rock Austin vs Angle, hopefully in an I Quit match. They've had the best feud in years, and have put on awesome matches as well, like the ****3/4 one from SummerSlam. Tag Team Title Match: The Acolytes vs The Outsiders. It makes sense, but it won't be anything to call home about.
Guest suckfreecomix Report post Posted February 19, 2002 HHH can't deliver right now due to ring rust/increased muscle mass...and the fact that he is self conscious about his left leg...I noticed that he favors it greatly.
Guest CB2M Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Triple H vs Jericho in the main event. They've put on a ****3/4 match before, and they can do even better now. I thought their best was on the 6/12/00 Raw, which I thought was ****1/4. The Fully Loaded match was really good too, but overrated in my view. Probably in the ****1/4 range as well. Either way, they *did* have good chemistry with each other.

Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted February 20, 2002 well, its really looking like hhh/jericho for the title hogan/rock austin/hall chuck&billy/acolytes regal/edge maven/undertaker rvd/goldust at least those at the time being nash isnt on this card because he's interfering in the main event... *hypothesizing* nash-ference leads to a jericho win which leads to two matches at backlash Nash/HHH Jericho/RVD im certain rock/hogan and austin/hall can be continued till here Which after all this, paves the way for Invasion2 rock/austin/hhh/mystery vs. hogan/hall/nash/mystery mysteries being hbk and steiner id assume... at least thats how i see it
Guest Brian Report post Posted February 20, 2002 I'd agree with CB2M and say they've had two matches in that range. By WrestleMania I think they can do it again.
