Guest godthedog Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 South Park, it was a musical, and its plot wasnt as lame as every other one of those 'mary poppins' OWNS 'south park', my friend. and, although it's not my absolute favorite, 'a hard day's night' deserves mention.

I loved the songs in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, though the movie as a whole was merely decent. For some reason, I feel compelled to mention Dancer in the Dark, even though the film was a shamelessly manipulative piece of shit with songs that were okay at best.

I would also like to mention Meet Me In St. Louis (better musical than Wizard if you wanna discuss Garland stuff), and why in god's name has no one mentioned the entire Busby Berkeley cycle for Warners in 1933-34 (42nd St., Gold Diggers of 1933, Footlight Parade, Dames)? There are a number of Astaire/Rogers movies that are deserving of mention here as well.
