Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Well, since someone brought up GI Joes, I gotta ask about the Transformers. Do you like the original line or the newer "Beast Wars/Robots in Disguise" figures? Here are some thoughts: Original: - Die cast metal. A HUGE plus for the old toys - Attention to detail. A lot of the original toys had stuff like rubber tires. Small stuff like that can really make a toy - Lack of articulation. Sure, you could move the arms, but not the legs. - Boxyness. It would've been nice to see them more like the cartoon. New: - Articulation. If you're actually playing with them, posability is a must. - Sleekness. The robotic forms of the Beast Wars robots were quite like those in the show. - All plastic parts - Less detail. I'm refering more to the Rid vehicle modes more than the robot modes. Overall, I still love the originals, but Armada may soon change my opinion.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted July 17, 2002 The originals definitely get my vote here. I was a huge Transformers mark, but never got into Beast Wars.

Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Gotta pick the Beast Wars figures. Poseability was far FAR superior to the Gen 1 figures. Though some of the scaling was questonable. (like Cheetor's Beast Machine's figure being HUGE compared to everyone else)
