Guest Diesel Report post Posted July 17, 2002 and Jericho's commentary was a work...because he is supposed to be a HEEL and all the net guys actually cheer for him instead of boo him. Jericho is not like his character...his commentary sounded like his character... It was a work and he was probably happy when he did it because he knew he had the best match of the night at KOTR... You are SEVERELY Pro-Kliq...SEVERELY......I think it's a mental disorder in some states... Not even marks are as pro-Kliq as you...go watch "Back In Black" and yap about how much you wished the nWo wasn't dead or watch "The Game" and whine that Flair and Steamboat shouldn't be on the DVD because HHH is that much better... All you have done with each of your posts is piss of the SmartMark forum regs (95% of them anyway) to the point of which you should just go be HHH's gardener or something and get away from here.... and hey...maybe if you are HHH's gardener you can be the one that Nash assfucks on a daily basis and leave HHH's ass for Steph... ...my flaming is over... What is wrong with being pro-Kilq. I have my own opinions so if you don't like them then too bad. Also, I don't really give a damn on who I have pissed off. This is a forum were people put their own vaild opinions. If you can't expect it, then maybe you should leave. Also I believe that this forum is too one sided, went one person says something, it becomes a chain reaction.

Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 17, 2002 HHH was a bigger draw as Champion than Jericho ever was. Reason why HHH's couldnt draw, because Jericho ruined the Titles.

With Y2J as a main event, he cant even get pass 1.0! Even if he did(Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble) it wasnt because of him. It was because of Rock/Hogan or the Rumble match it self. Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 HOW THE FUCK AM I TRYING TO GET ATTENTION YOU DUMB FUCKING KID. I didnt know stating your opinion these days meant getting attention. Fucking follower.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Don't call me "kid", moron, I'm a year younger than you. How do you come to the conclusion that I'm a follower? At least I'm not a gimmick poster playing the role of shit disturber.

Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Do you have any prove? Nope, but I have PROOF. How about, uh, the time that Nash was bitching about how he was the lowest paid WWF champ ever and Pat Patterson said, "That's because YOU ARE THE LOWEST DRAWING WWF CHAMPION EVER." That was 10 years after Backlund's reign, by the way. Nash being the lowest drawing WWE champ ever is not up for debate. It's a fact. If you don't believe me, ask Dave Meltzer for the gates.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Of our era, Diesel was problay the lowest drawing champion. But than again look at some of the people he faced! Mabel, Bulldog etc. I bet the biggest draw at the time(HBK) could put up decent numbers with them. I mean he put up decent ratings with valid wrestlers. Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart(WM and RR), but after that it started to go down hill. Bret Hart wasnt a great draw either.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Right, I'm sure that he drew better than the WWWF champions...although, I'm not 100% sure. Meltzer did a study on the gates and attendances back in the mid-1990s, and he called Nash the lowest drawing champion "ever". So I don't know if that covers Backlund-present or all the way back to Buddy Rogers, Bruno Sammartino, etc.

For Jericho: Royal Rumble - Triple H Comeback No Way Out - No Buildup Wrestlemania - Made to look like Triple H's bitch Doesn't seem like a level playing field, Jerome. And how many 2000 Main Events also had Austin, Rock, etc?
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Wait i would say Sid was a pretty horrible draw also.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Sid was a GREAT draw. Seriously, go back and research gates and live attendances and buyrates and shit like that. It will amaze who raked in the money as champ and who didn't.
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Explain this 2001. Him, and Benoit had an excellent fued with Austin. Well booked and everything. Come KOTR 2001, they couldnt even get pass the 1.0 mark. And in 2000, when they pushed Benoit and Jericho at Fully Loaded, in both well booked PPV's they got the 2nd lowest buyrite of the year. 1.04, althought decent, pretty bad compared to the buyrites that year. Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Well, drawing power is about attendances, not buyrates or ratings. That's a whole other area. There's a difference between being a good "draw" (live gates) and being a good "box office attraction" (buyrates/ratings). For example, Steve Austin was good at both, Sid was only a good draw, and Bret Hart sucked at both.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 But again, for KotR 2k1, Jericho and Benoit were hopelessly overshadowed. Every show was "Austin! Austin! Austin! Hey look, he has a match with Benoit." While Benoit and Jericho did have their share of near wins over Austin, so did Jeff Hardy to the Undertaker. So did Al Snow when he fought Triple H for the title, though less there. Jericho was never really pushed as a serious main eventer until the end of 2001, and he was promptly shit on afterwards. I think so, anyway.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I reckon Jeff Hardy could be a huge draw if he smeared himself with J.R.'s BBQ sauce instead of that neon paint, bah gawd!

Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Kurt Angle could draw better then Jericho/Benoit will ever can.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Well, this is all opinion. It didn't seem to me they were being pushed as serious main eventers. Sort of "transitional main eventers", if that makes sense.

Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 18, 2002 It was a good agurment, but AM the Kid had to be a bitch. So fuck off. I still think Austin should of been the Undisputed Champion and went on to face HHH at WMX8. Face Vs. Face. It problay would of went better than HHH Vs. Y2J. But let me tell you this about HHH Vs. Y2J, reason why there wasnt no heat. Is because we were all burnt out after Rock/Hogan, seriously it took the wind out of us spectators for WMX8. I mean everyone was going apeshit. Guest chirs3 Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I can imagine - I saw a later taped version of the Rock/Hogan match, and that must have been a bitch to follow up.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 18, 2002 I could barely talk the next day from screaming so loud. But, HHH vs. Y2J still could have been better. Personally speaking, I *wanted* to get into that match, but there was nothing to get into.
